Design Orchard pop-up sale

Our nation’s 55th birthday is around the corner; a season when we all feel extra patriotic as we sing this is home, truly”. So there’s no better time than now to support local brands and businesses, and amidst the myriad of shopping malls at Orchard Road, Design Orchard is the place where homegrown brands take center stage.

From now till 11th August 2020, there will be 3 in-store pop-ups and a storewide promotion of up to 50% off on everything from Singapore-themed perfumes to colourful, patterned threads to spruce up your wardrobe with. Here’s what you can look out for:

Shop funky and colourful clothing from local designers

Showing love for Singapore doesn’t just mean dressing in red and white, but bright, cheery colours like pink and yellow too. Minor Miracles, a fashion label by local designer Dawn Bey, features bold and funky apparel that are easily standouts against the norm.

Never Ever Ipad Case (U.P. $48), Upgrade U Bucket Hat (U.P. $48), Mini Honeybee Halter Dress (U.P. $78)

You can find eye-catching designs for everything from women’s clothing, accessories, to kidswear. For those who’re bound to start a new school semester soon, take this chance to check out their iPad, laptop and stationary cases. If you spend a minimum spend of $180 from 30th July – 11th August, you’ll even get a complimentary Minor Miracles face mask!

Those with a penchant for intricate patterns like florals, stripes and brush strokes will surely be spoilt for choice since each piece is one-of-a-kind. Whether you’re picking out a new work-appropriate OOTD or new activewear to sweat in, their broad selection will have you covered.

Receive a complimentary scent based on SG heritage

Another pop-up to keep your eyes – and nose – peeled for is Singapore Memories, where you can receive a complimentary sample-sized scent by taking their perfume personality quiz. The coolest part? The scents are all inspired from Singapore heritage and localised experiences – such as walking through the Botanic Gardens or having a Singapore Sling cocktail.

There are even mahjong-inspired scents that could perhaps give you extra “huat” while you play

True blue Singaporeans will immediately relate to the titles of their scents like “Pasar Malam” (U.P. $78) and “Mahjong and More” (U.P. $78) – the latter of which is creatively packed with the woody aroma of a mahjong table and tiles. As an avid mahjong player, my mom would surely appreciate it as a gift.

Take advantage of the 15% off discount they’ll be having until 11th August on their entire Singapore Memories range, except for the 18ML perfumes.

Get Peranakan-inspired designs of items like face masks

They’re available in 4 sizes including those for kids, and they each come with a matching pouch.
