If you aren’t well-versed in the finance world, then the numerous credit card options might be overwhelming for you. And don’t worry, you’re not alone. Here’s where the DCS Flex Visa Platinum Card comes in: as the name suggests, this card has flexible reward systems that you can choose from.
From miles and cash rebates to investment credits, this new VISA card allows you to pick the option that best suits your lifestyle. Here’s everything you need to know:
When choosing the right credit card for yourself, it’s important to consider the rewards that come with the card. The DCS Flex Visa Platinum Card offers not 1, not 2, but 3 types of rewards – you can rack up miles, cash rebates, or investment credits when you spend with the card.
Here are more details about the rewards programme. Cardmembers can score up to 8% cash rebate or investment credits, and these will be credited to your card account and iFast account respectively. With the investment credits earned from the card, you can kickstart your investing journey – easy peasy.
If that’s not your cup of tea, you can also choose to accumulate miles in your Miles holding account. You can earn up to 2.4 miles for each dollar spent, and transfer them to your Krisflyer account with a conversion fee of $25.
Do note that all 3 reward options are awarded on majority of your day-to-day transactions, from contactless and online purchases to foreign currency expenditures, so there’s no hassle of having to manage your expenses on specific merchant categories.Furthermore, you can earn these exciting rewards with a minimum monthly spend of $600.
As our lifestyle changes, our preferences may also change. The DCS Flex Visa Platinum Card has the advantage of the flexibility of changing your reward type, which will be made available soon in 2025.
One of the challenges of having a credit card is ensuring that you’ve met all the criteria to make the most of your rewards. The DCS Cards app has a nifty Rewards Tracker function where you can monitor your expenditures across the various spend categories so that you can track and maximise your rewards earned.
DCS also provides cardmembers with a virtual account, D-Vault, which you can link to your DCS card. The D-Vault can be accessed and managed anytime, anywhere via the DCS Cards App, which means you can easily top up on the go and start spending immediately.
Once you’ve linked your card to the account, you can top it up to pay for any expenses made on your DCS cards. If you’re dropping a bomb and making a big purchase that exceeds your card spending limit, simply top up the account by converting your digital assets or making bank transfers to instantly increase your spending limit on the card.
The perks don’t end there. Cardmembers will receive complimentary travel insurance coverage too. This includes up to $1m personal accident protection, and up to $250,000 on-flight personal accident and travel inconvenience reimbursement. To enjoy these benefits, simply use the DCS Flex Visa Platinum Card to pay for the full airfare.
Should you wish to pay your post credit card purchases in installments, know that the answer is a resounding “Yes, you can”. You can choose to do an interest-free installment plan of up to 18 months with a low nominal fee.
The Cyberpunk series (right) includes a $20 design fee.
When you’re flexing your DCS Flex Visa Platinum Card, don’t forget to mention that the physical cards are eco-friendly too. 82% of the card is crafted from recycled plastic, and there are 4 fun card design options to choose from – including the 2 limited design card designs from the futuristic-themed Cyberpunk series by NFT Collective Theirsverse.
