Just when we thought the arrival of the Disney Adventure cruise was enough to send fans into a frenzy, there’s more magic headed our way. For the first time ever, the D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is coming to Singapore, giving local Disney lovers a chance to immerse themselves in all things Mickey and co.

What is D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event?

Launched in 2009, the event has grown into one of the world’s biggest celebrations of all things Disney – think of it as Disney’s equivalent of Comic-Con, but with more pixie dust, of course.

It’s where hardcore fans get the inside scoop on upcoming projects, catch major announcements before everyone else, and take part in immersive experiences inspired by their favourite Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars universes.

The flagship event in Anaheim, California, just concluded over the last weekend, with truckloads of reveals and updates psyching Disney fans everywhere up for the year ahead. While previous Asia editions were held in Japan back in 2013, 2015, and 2018, Singapore is finally next on the list.

D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will officially land in Singapore from 25th to 27th June 2027, at Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands.

This massive multi-day affair will be packed with live stage presentations, interactive experiences, exclusive previews of Disney+’s APAC Originals, and curated merch that any Disney fan wouldn’t want to miss.

D23 California 2026

To give you a rough idea of what could be in store for the Singapore edition, this year’s California event included the following announcements:

• Ridge Run Rally: A rally attraction at Piston Peak National Park, the upcoming Cars-themed expansion coming to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.
• Villains Land: An upcoming Villains-themed expansion at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, with a new roller coaster featuring Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, and another ride themed around the Evil Queen’s Magic Mirror from Snow White. Other villains to look forward to include Cruella de Vil and Dr Facilier, of The Princess & The Frog infamy.
• Monstropolis: Monsters, Inc.-themed land  at Walt Disney World Hollywood Studios will open in 2027, but Monsters, Inc. Door Vault, its new roller coaster, will not be ready.
• Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto: New Encanto ride at Walt Disney World.
• “The Lion King” attraction at Disneyland Paris will debut its villan, Scar, in his final confrontation with Simba.
• Space Mountain: Earthrise: The Tokyo Disneyland’s Space Mountain ride will reopen.
• Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue: World’s first Wreck-It Ralph ride will open at Tokyo Disneyland in Spring 2027.
• Ice Age: Boiling Point: Expected 5th February 2027, starring Queen Latifah and Dennis Leary.
• Frozen 3: New villain, a wedding, a new love interest, and new music, expected 24th November 2027.
• Zootopia 3: Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan are back for more adventures.
• Live-action Tangled: Coming to theatres 31st March 2027.
• Incredibles 3: Coming to theatres in Summer 2028, centred around the Parr children.
• Princess Diaries 3: Already in production, starring, of course, Anne Hathaway.
• Lilo & Stitch 2: Due 28th May 2028, featuring Angel.
• Coco 2: Premiering November 2029, with Benjamin Bratt reprising his role as Ernesto de la Cruz.
