This Chinese New Year celebrates the year of the ox, and aptly so, tons of deals are charging our way as we gear up for the festivities. Chinatown Point is grabbing the season by the horns with a ton of treats up their sleeves: think a lucky draw that just might win you a luxurious staycation or $888 cash on top of oodles of deals and giveaways.
The ox isn’t the only critter that’ll be making an appearance at the mall – Singapore’s resident otters are also taking centre stage as the inspo for themed decor and limited edition freebies. Read on to find out how to get your hands on all these from 21st January – 28th February 2021:
Nothing beats getting rewarded for indulging in your shopaholic tendencies. You’ll be glad to know that spending a minimum of $88* when you shop at Chinatown Point entitles you to participate in an online lucky draw.

There are 10 prizes to be won, and five lucky draw chances per shopper per day to see if luck is on your side.
Taking part is pretty straightforward. Just save your receipts and submit your details at Chinatown Point’s website. You may just get that well-deserved staycay or cold hard cash to splurge on CNY goodies.
*Those shopping at FairPrice and Melaleuca require a minimum spend of $128.
Wild otters are among Singapore’s favourite furry residents, so it’s no surprise they’re injecting some local flair into Chinatown Point’s CNY celebrations.
This year’s theme comprises otter characters designed by local artists as part of the mall’s #supportlocal initiative. Shoppers will get to redeem limited edition otter-themed carrier bags with a nine-piece set of angbao packets with a minimum spend of $168 at the mall and $198 at FairPrice and Melaleuca.
Adorable plush pillows are also up for grabs when you spend at least $238 at Chinatown Point and $268 at FairPrice and Melaleuca.
There are two designs each to be redeemed – these will be refreshed on 8th February 2021 if you’re looking to collect them all.
Most of us are on social media throughout the day, so now’s the best time to milk our scrolling habits by joining Chinatown Point’s social media giveaways.
It’s happening every Friday throughout the month of January and February 2021, and $1,000 worth of gifts are up for grabs. You could also get your hands on limited edition The Singapore Mint 2021 Hongbao Medallions by joining in.
Those who appreciate good opportunities for IG-worthy photos can let loose at vibrant photo ops at the mall’s atrium at Level 1.
See if you can spot the local otter characters hidden among festive cherry blossom trees. You’ll also stumble upon old-school kopitiam-inspired decor, including a life-sized trishaw, a giant dimsum steamer basket, and a groovy jukebox.
Suss out your 2021 horoscope predictions while you’re here to see what good fortune awaits you.
To prep for your reunion gatherings, stock up on CNY snacks, decor and gifts at the mall’s Chinese New Year Fair at Level 2. If you’re looking for one-of-a-kind fashion accessories and art pieces to snazz up your new year outfits and home decor, be sure to pay a visit to Maker’s Market at Level 1.
