If there’s one thing we always look forward to during a regular workday, it’s our lunch breaks to re-energize and HTHT with our work pals. Well, good news for those working in the CBD because there’s now a new lunch spot to wind down mid-day.
At Change Alley Mall, you’ll have a host of F&B outlets to get your much-needed espresso shots and go for food coma-inducing lunches with your kakis. From customisable salad bowls to award-winning ramen, there are also a slew of bubble tea joints here to grab your mandatory BBT fixes.
Coffee joints for your daily pick-me-up
For those who rely on caffeine like life support to fuel long work days, you’ll be thrilled that Change Alley Mall has no shortage of places you can get your daily cup of joe.
Get the Hand Brew ($5.50)
One of them is Tanamera Coffee that has artisanal Indonesian coffee – their first branch in Singapore. Have a go at their signature Hand Brew ($5.50) for a solid dose of caffeine, or the Cold White ($6.50) that comes in a chic glass bottle to conveniently dabao back to the office.

Over at 6oz Espresso Bar, they’ve nailed classics like the Americano ($5.50) and Flat White ($5.90). Those craving for a hint of sweetness can get their hands on specialities like the Caramel Latte ($6.80).

On days when you’re running late for work but still want to get your morning perk-me-up, you can order ahead and beat the queue with Kopi ONG’s “Kopi Ong Foodster” via Facebook Messenger. They have affordable Kopi Peng ($2.80) and Hot Teh ($2.20) to-go.
Restaurants and shops for hearty lunches
Known for their premium beef bowls, Waa Cow! has been giving Japanese food lovers a run for their money. With their new outlet, office peeps can hop over and indulge in their Mentaiko Salmon Bowl ($19.90) topped with a generous slab of salmon, or Yuzu Foie Gras Wagyu Beef Bowl ($26.90) on days you want to treat yourself.
If you’re game for drinks with the work fam after hours, be sure to head down before 8PM for their happy hour Asahi pints ($8.80, U.P. $10.90). Pair them with sides like Hokkaido Oysters Yuzu Vinaigrette ($6/piece) or Soy Glazed Wings ($10.90).
Chomp on the Kotteri Tonkotsu Ramen ($18.90).
Ramen-lovers are in luck as Change Alley also has the award-winning Kanada-Ya which has solid ramen options. Get your hands on the Kotteri Tonkotsu Ramen ($18.90) that’s drenched in their 18-hour signature pork bone broth and topped with belly chashu or the rich Truffle Ramen Special ($26.90) to help you power through the day.
Those gunning to fulfil their clean-eating new year’s resolutions for 2021 can snack on grains and goodies at The Source Bulk Foods. CBD folks can stock up their personal pantries with a ton of healthy snacks such as Organic Banana Chips ($1.90/100g) to Sweet Chilli and Lime Soya Crisps ($3/100g).
BBT outlets for your sugar cravings
As an absolute BBT fan, saying no to a cup of milk tea with pearls is practically impossible. And at Change Alley Mall, you definitely won’t be lacking in boba tea options for your obligatory mid-day treat.
Folks with brown sugar cravings can head straight for R&B Tea for their raved-about Brown Sugar Boba Milk ($3.80). Else, try their signature Devil’s Booster ($4.20) blended with orange, pineapple and peach for more citrusy flavours.

Fans of the OG Taiwanese BBT will also be glad to know that Milksha has set up a shop here. If you’re down for matcha, the Azuki Matcha Milk ($5.60) might be right up your alley for a velvety consistency, topped with their highly rated Honey Pearls ($1).
