Bukit Panjang Plaza Is the Next Supper Hot Spot, Open till 1AM

Supper that’s not typical midnight foodfare

When midnight hunger pangs strike, my homies and I instinctively take to Bukit Timah for a variety of delicious supper places. But now, we don’t have to rely on just Bukit Timah’s famous pratas and nasi goreng to satiate our hunger.

From now till 21st January 2017, there’s a cause for celebration every Friday, Saturday and eve of Public Holiday, because Bukit Panjang Plaza is extending the opening hours of some of its most popular eateries till 1AM! Their Fun Night Out & About campaign is bound to jazz up your midnight snacking ritual, with cool options you’ve never thought of having for supper.

Swing by for supper because there’s FREE PARKING from 10PM – 1AM and you could be one of the 10 lucky shoppers* walking away with 200,000 STAR$® monthly (equivalent to $200 CapitaVouchers) when you spend at any of the participating F&B outlets or FairPrice Finest.

*Draw only applicable to CapitaStar members

1. Encik Tan

The folks at Encik Tan started the chain to let our Muslim friends savour the best of our local hawker fare, MUIS-certified! Offering all sorts of local fare from Fishball Noodles to Hainanese Curry Rice sets on the menu, it almost feels like it’s a whole hawker centre condensed into one air-conditioned outlet.

Curry Chicken Cutlet Set ($4.30)

Beach Road’s too far a drive for curry rice at this hour. Thankfully, Encik Tan’s version of fragrant rice and the crispiest fried chicken doused with curry satisfies just as good. While you’re there, get a cup of lemon tea or lime juice! That always helps to balance out the curry.

Fishball Noodles ($4).

Spoiling you for choice, Encik Tan also offers a variety of noodle options such as popular local favourites like Laksa, Fishball Noodles, ‘Char Siew” Wanton Noodles and more!

5. Nene Chicken

Nene Chicken is the true sauce-coated Korean chicken specialist and you can tell they’re chicken masters, having under their belt 1000 stores in Seoul alone. Taking the Singaporean chicken wing scene by storm in 2012, years on fried chicken junkies can still take to their wings decked out in three signature flavours – Swicy, Freaking Hot and Soy.

Making Korean Fried Chicken very affordable, Nene Chicken wings are share-worthy for huge gatherings. I first tried them at a potluck gathering and boy, I was impressed.

Flavours: Freaking Hot (left) and Soy (right)

Freaking Hot was just right for a spice eater like myself but for those who can’t take spiciness, their original Soy fried chicken is the option to fall back on.

Their Kimchi Tuna Mayo Bap Burger! Ala Carte ($5.30), Set Meal with Drink ($7.30)

Nene Chicken now also has rice burgers! Available in Chicken Ham, Kimchi Tuna Mayo and Chicken Tenders, each Bap Burger is palm-sized but more filling than you’d expect.

Nenepop – Soda pop and popcorn chicken in the same cup

The Koreans know no movie experience is ever complete without nom-ing some snacks, so they created a special cup that can hold your drink and popcorn chicken at the same time! Staying in for a late night movie marathon with bae? Dabao this for an unbeatable couch-potato experience.

Fun Night Out & About Promotion: Bap Burger and NenePop at $6.90 ( U.P. $9.90)

6. Siam Kitchen

Now that Siam Kitchen closes at 1AM, you no longer need to tame your phad thai and basil chicken cravings. Just slurp up a bowl of Red Tom Yum goodness and catch up with your kakis over a cup of rich Thai milk tea!

Chicken Phad Thai ($8)

Stir-fried with bean sprouts, peanuts and a little sugar, the generous portion of Chicken Phad Thai was huge enough for two to share.

Red Seafood Tom Yum ($8)

When it comes to tom yum, I’ll pick a flaming red broth. I like how Siam Kitchen’s red soup is not overly spicy but still has a kick to it.

Butterfly Chicken (Half) – $14.90, Red Seafood Tom Yum and Chicken Phai Thai

Thai food’s a rare sight on the supper table. So when you find one that’s open till 1AM, it’s impossible to say no.

Fun Night Out & About Promotion: $3++ Light Supper – Choose between Red Tom Yum Soup with Seafood or Green Curry with Chicken.
