Bloomyard by Graphic Rewilding at IMBA Theatre

After all the buzz around Cj Hendry’s juju world, IMBA Theatre is back with another colourful experience, and this time, it’s turning its exhibition space into a giant garden. Bloomyard by Graphic Rewilding features larger-than-life floral installations and interactive artwork, including a mini-golf course for visitors of all ages.

We got a sneak peek of the experience, so here’s everything you can look forward to at Bloomyard, plus what to know before you head down.

Who is Graphic Rewilding?

If you’re wondering who’s behind all the larger-than-life flowers at Bloomyard, it’s British public-art duo Catherine Borowski and Lee Baker, who founded Graphic Rewilding together.

They’re known for transforming urban spaces into colourful, nature-inspired environments using bold botanical designs. At the heart of their work is the idea that bringing more nature into our everyday surroundings can create moments for people to pause, relax, and reconnect.

You may have seen some of their eye-catching past projects, including Van Gogh’s Flowers at the New York Botanical Garden and The Wellbeing Garden in Shanghai. Now, their oversized floral style has made its way to Singapore with Bloomyard at IMBA Theatre.

What is Bloomyard?

It’s a new immersive experience by Graphic Rewilding, where IMBA Theatre is turned into a playground filled with huge floral installations and interactive activities.

Running from now till 25th October 2026, the experience will be around for just over a month, so you’ll have a limited window to check it out. Bring along your family, friends, or partner for a playful day out – Bloomyard is designed for visitors of all ages, with opportunities to interact with the artwork and explore the space at your own pace.

There’s also a cafe within the same space where you can grab a drink, and exclusive merchandise is available, which we’ll get into later in the article.

What to expect at Bloomyard

Plenty of photo opportunities featuring massive blooms

We first wandered through a colourful floral arch from the entrance, which opened up into an exhibition space filled with massive blooms in vibrant shades of pink, blue, and yellow. This is undoubtedly the money shot, so get your cameras ready and snap a pic here once the crowds clear.

Once inside, you’ll notice that there are many spots to stop for a snap, including walls featuring oversized blooms in a variety of colours and designs. Benches and stools are strategically placed in front, because clearly, the folks behind Bloomyard know we’re going to be taking photos with the walls in the background.

But our favourite has got to be the swings, where you can sit beneath hanging banners covered in botanical prints. They contrast against the plain pink wall, helping the banners and swings stand out instead of getting lost in the background.

P.S. The swings can go pretty high, so keep an eye on the kiddos.

Surrounding the swings are mini trampolines, which double up as another photo spot if you don’t mind looking slightly unhinged in your pics while attempting a mid-air bouncing shot.

Cute flower-shaped tables for a game of table tennis 

Unlike most IG-worthy exhibitions, Bloomyard has actual activities for you to burn off some energy. One of them is table tennis, but with flower-shaped tables, which are much smaller than your standard table tennis setup – but hey, it’s all about having fun here.

Grab a paddle and ball from the side pocket, then challenge your friend to a mini match. And don’t assume the smaller table makes things easier. You’ll have to adjust your strength and aim to stop the ball from flying straight off the edge.

Mini-golf course in a “garden”

There’s also a 9-hole mini-golf course that kids will surely enjoy. With floral arches framing the course, it almost feels like you’re putting your way through a garden.

Each hole comes with its own twists, slopes, and turns, adding a little challenge to the game. The putters, AKA mini-golf sticks, can also be adjusted in length, so both kids and adults can comfortably join in.

Cafe to kick back & relax with a drink

Head to The Bloomery when you need a break – drinks are available here, with options like coffee (from $5), hot or iced chocolate (from $8), and canned or bottled drinks (from $5). Matcha lovers have a bit more options, including strawberry matcha (from $10) and yuzu coconut matcha ($11).

There are tables and chairs, also in matching botanical prints, right in front of the cafe for you to kick back and relax.

You’ll also get to shop merchandise here, or head to Stacked Store near the exit to browse if you’d like.

DIY paper flower

For something more hands-on, try your hand at making a crepe paper flower at the DIY station. Everything you need is provided, along with step-by-step instructions to guide you through the process. Crew members were also around to lend a hand when we visited, so don’t worry if your crafting skills are a little rusty.

Set aside around 15 minutes for this activity, and you’ll get to bring your handmade flower home as a memento from your Bloomyard visit.

Botanical-themed merchandise

Don’t forget to pop by Stacked Store at IMBA Theatre, located just next to the exhibition hall, to shop some exclusive merchandise before heading home.

You’ll find a range of items decked out in Graphic Rewilding’s signature botanical prints, though you’ll have to be a fan of bright colours and bold patterns to pull some of these off.

We did spot a few pieces we’d happily bring home, including postcards ($3), prints ($38) that you can frame up, a water bottle ($39) with flowers against a bright blue background, and T-shirts ($32) available in white and black.

What to know before visiting Bloomyard

You can also browse the merch within the exhibition space.

Each visitor will need to fill in an indemnity form at the entrance before heading in. It shouldn’t take more than a minute, but if you’re visiting with a big group, you may want to factor in extra time for everyone to get it done.

As for what to wear, comfortable shoes are recommended to jump around without worrying about your footwear.

There are also no lockers available for storing your belongings, but benches and stools are scattered around the space, so you can leave your bag on a nearby seat. Just remember to keep an eye on your belongings while you’re busy playing.

Bloomyard by Graphic Rewilding – The Smart Local review

We think Bloomyard is worth checking out, especially if you’re planning to bring the kids along. When we visited, we spotted children from a nearby preschool exploring the space, and the excited squeals and happy laughter coming from the exhibition hall were a sign that they were having a blast. The mini-golf course also seemed to be a hit with the little ones.

And if you’re planning to check out the Mid-Autumn Festival events around Singapore and will be making a pit stop at Gardens by the Bay, Bloomyard could be a good place to escape the heat for a while.
