From the early morning custom jams to jam-packed shopping and eating itineraries, JB trips are usually nothing short of hectic. But if you’re looking for an escape from the bustle of the city, here’s an alternative getaway idea for you. Just 1.5 hours away from JB city centre, there’s a peaceful campsite at Birdhill Beach with affordable glamping packages from RM299 for 2 pax.
These packages come fully equipped with necessities like portable tables, chairs and cookware, plus aesthetic fairy lights for a truly Instagrammable glamping experience.

Whether you want a romantic night under the stars with boo, or a fun camping experience with your besties, Birdhill Beach has suitable packages for anywhere between 2 to 6 campers.
As mentioned above, a Couple Package starts at RM299, while a Deluxe Package for 6 costs RM799. This means that depending on which one you get, each person pays roughly RM133 to RM149, which works out to a fairly affordable S$40 to S$45 per head.
This is defo worth the SGD, especially since packages cover everything from tents and mattresses, to convenient storage boxes and crockery.
While all options come with similar items – just in differing quantities to match the headcount – pricier packages have additional knick-knacks thrown in, like portable stoves and water tank containers. But if your package doesn’t include particular items you want, fret not – you’ll be able to purchase them individually as add-ons too.
On the flip side, if you’d rather have a true blue camping experience without all the stuff that makes it glam-ping, you’ll be able to rent camping lots without any equipment from just RM20/adult, or RM10/child.
But whether you opt for a glamping or camping experience, there are also 5 toilet cubicles here equipped with water heaters – a major perk if you hate cold showers. What’s more, the cubicles are also said to be tiled, and quite clean for a campsite.

This ultra-luxe package takes glamping to a whole new level – aside from the regular glamping couple’s equipment, it also comes inclusive of an atas 5-course fine dining dinner and breakfast the next morning. For dinner, expect to feast on dishes like scallop royale, kale ricotta, and braised Angus beef. If this doesn’t impress bae, we don’t know what will!
