2019 is drawing to a close, and it’s about time we start preparing for 2020. And between thinking up new resolutions and career goals, we’ve also got 7 long weekends to make plans for. Whoohoo!
Purchasing a calendar from any stationery store might be the typical way to get organised, but this time, try buying one from an animal charity instead. Not only do they have images of cute animals like dogs, cats, and rabbits splashed all over their pages, proceeds from their sales will contribute towards animal welfare groups in Singapore and aid in their upkeep.
Here are some animal charity calendars for 2020 to consider displaying on your work desk.

Groups like SOSD were formed in response to the rampant culling of stray dogs. They’re not just here to raise awareness on the issue, but rather, are working towards stopping culling for good.
These doggo friends will be the stars of their 2020 calendar. Each page will feature one dog with a brightly-coloured background, along with punny and inspirational quotes to spur you on. It costs $10 per piece, which you can use as a cute addition to your table.

Hamsters give birth to multiple babies at once, and ill-equipped owners don’t know how to deal with that. They’re incredibly popular pets to have, but even then, a bunch of them still end up abandoned or stuck in poor living conditions.
The Hamster Society Singapore thus champions the rights of these little critters. As part of their fundraising efforts, they’ll be releasing a calendar for 2020 featuring a bunch of their adorably pudgy hambabies on every page, along with each hamster’s cartoon likeness.
You can get them for $15 each over here.
Project LUNI’s a non-profit organisation focusing on the welfare of our street kitties, and their efforts include fostering, daily feeding, as well as providing medical care for them.
Recently, they released the Project LUNI Calendar 2020. They’ll be featuring their adorable kitties being cuddled by a bunch of smokin’ hot men, the combination of which will have you busting out the biggest “uwu”s.
Prices are $15 per piece, but if you need a quick gift idea for all your colleagues, snap up 10 pieces or more and you’ll get these calendars for $10 each instead.
Stray dogs are everywhere in Singapore, but we fail to realise that some of these dogs have actually been abandoned by their owners. Charity organisations like the Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) thus step in to ensure that they’re well taken care of.
They’ll be featuring the dogs that they’ve successfully fostered and rehomed for their upcoming 2020 calendar. Each one costs just $10, where all proceeds will go towards offsetting their medical expenditure.
You get free nationwide delivery if you purchase 20 copies or more, but if you decide that one’s enough for you, head down to any of these locations to pick it up.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is probably one of the most well-known animal welfare societies in the country. Alongside their animal conservation efforts, they’ve also got an online shop stocked with tote bags, stickers, keychains…and of course, their annual calendars.
For just $10, you’ll get a cute little calendar that features 12 of SPCA’s various furry friends, which includes dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. They each come with a moving story that you can read as you contemplate your schedule for the month.

Compared to dogs and cats, bunnies are perhaps a lesser-kept pet. But loads of rabbits are continuously being abandoned, and this has spurred the birth of organisations like the House Rabbit Society Singapore (HRSS).
At $10 each, these calendars will have 12 of their own adorable critters gracing the pages for each month. You can either fill up their Google form or place an order with one of their partnering online stores here.
Dogs are lost or abandoned nearly every day, and they all deserve a second chance. With this belief in mind, Oasis Second Chance Animal Shelter (OSCAS) steps in to help these poor pups – many of whom are senior dogs – find loving new homes.
Many tend to gravitate towards puppies than older dogs, but for OSCAS’s 2020 calendar, the senior dogs will be the star of the show. Appropriately titled “Senior Dogs Rock”, each dog of the month embodies a classic rock album or band like Metallica and Aerosmith, which you can have fun figuring out as you go along.
One calendar costs just $10, and all proceeds go towards the expenses of these senior dogs. To snag one of these yourself, place your order here.

Gentle Paws may be smaller compared to other registered charities, but they are just as dedicated in their efforts to rescue stray and abandoned dogs.
Consider purchasing their 2020 calendar to help fund their operations. It goes at $10 each, with a $1.50 postage fee per delivery – but that’s waived you if you pick up more than 10 copies at one go.

Purrballs isn’t a charity like the other organisations on this list. Rather, they’re a local cat-themed stationery shop that donates part of their proceeds to non-profit cat welfare groups.
Their collection features endearing feline characters on different stationery – and amongst them, you’ll find the Purrs of Wisdom 2020 calendar. For $18, the set comes with 12 calendar cards, a wooden stand to kiap these cards in, and a range of cat stickers for marking important dates.

Other than this calendar set, you can also snag sticker sheets and washi tape here. Even if you’re not buying them for yourself, they’d make purr–fect gifts for all your cat-crazy friends for Christmas.
No one – and I mean, no one – can resist cute animals, and these 9 animal-themed calendars would make adorable additions to your desk decor. And by purchasing any of them, you’ll be pledging your support to their cause – so if you want to start your 2020 off on the right note, this is the perfect place to earn some good karma.
