As Singaporeans, we love a good bargain as much as we love food and shopping. Combine these things, and bam – you’ve got a trinity of reasons to have a fun day out.
From now to 10th November 2019, Anchorpoint Shopping Centre will be having $1 food deals and shopping vouchers up for grabs. Apart from these deals, you can also look forward to a bouncy castle with an obstacle course and even magic shows.
Here’s a breakdown of everything that’s happening:
Even if you’re not one of those active bargain hunters, let’s face it – none of us can resist a good discount. From now to 10th November, simply embark on a shopping spree and you stand the chance to redeem some vouchers for yourself.
2 things you can score deals for: home improvement items and your lunch. Get a $10 Digital Gift Card and $10 voucher for future use at MR. D.I.Y. when you spend a minimum of $60 at MR. D.I.Y., or a $10 voucher for Uncle Leong Seafood when you spend at least $80 at Uncle Leong Seafood.
With the slew of fashion outlet stores in its premises, Anchorpoint’s well known as a place for fashion pieces on a budget too. With a minimum spend of $120 at any one of their outlet stores*, you’ll earn a $10 Cotton On voucher to offset your next wardrobe overhaul. You can even combine a max of 3 receipts so you can get a variety of items from different brands.
*Participating stores include Charles & Keith, Cotton On Kids, Cotton On, D&C, Giordano, Hush Puppies, TYPO, Pedro, and Skechers.
One thing I’m guilty of is not budgeting when it comes to my meals. If, like me, you want to cut back on your food expenditure, look forward to deals starting from just $1 – meaning you can treat yourself to a hearty meal at slivers of the original price.
Choose from 8 different meals ranging from Hotplate Saba Fish Set (U.P. $5.50) to a classic Chicken Thigh Rice (U.P. $5) at Koufu to stuff yourself with. Alternatively, fork out $3 and tuck into a meal at Uncle Leong Seafood. Pick anything from a plate of fried rice to some KL Hokkien noodles, and wash it down with your complimentary drink of choice.
Apart from the food deals, you can also expect some sweet promos for household items and enrichment classes. Those of you itching to replace your mattress can pick up a Slumberland bed frame from just $99 (U.P. $600) with a purchase of a queen-sized mattress.
Alternatively for parents, you can let your kiddo try out a trial dance class for 50% off the original price at Little Dance Academy.
Shopping and eating are easily all-day affairs, but for the inevitable moments that call for a breather, hit up the Level 1 Atrium near the main entrance. There’ll be games that are open to all from now to 3rd November 2109 – and with prizes at stake, you might want to make this one of your stops to bring home even more freebies. Here are the different ways you can win:
Put all your shopping knowledge to the test at the Price is Right game. Happening until 3rd November, figure out the price of various items from MR. D.I.Y. by guessing if the number shown is higher or lower than the actual price.
Those that have a sense of smell that rival that of a bloodhound’s can put it to the test at Guess the Scent. All you need to do is to take a whiff of their signature crab sauces from Uncle Leong Seafood, and guess which it is.
Anyone with an eye for food should give Tic Tac Food a go. You’ll be asked to match random ingredients to the dishes from Koufu using their life-sized tic-tac-toe board. Get all the ingredients right, and you’ll walk away a winner!

Apart from all the shopping and games, there’ll also be a series of activities to keep the little ones amused. Swing by the B1 Atrium after your midday meal and look forward to the following:
Awe-inspiring displays of hocus pocus and abracadabras are always great ways to brighten up your family outings. Hosted by Singapore-based magician Alex Tan, the Wacky Alex sessions will feature puppet shows and flashy magic tricks that will keep the whole family entertained throughout.

With a minimum spend of $10, kids will be able to jump around to their hearts’ content at the Obstacle Bouncy Castle.
And it’s not just any ‘ol bouncy castle – this one comes decked out with a full obstacle course that your kids can compete in. The fastest one on a single day wins $50 worth of vouchers – perfect for you to continue your shopping adventures around the mall or treat them to a toy with afterwards.
Date: Now to 3rd November 2019

We’ve heard tales of friends being slapped with unexpectedly hefty carpark fees, but with free parking at Anchorpoint, rest assured that won’t become a reality during your visit.

Dish out just $10 at any store participating in the Frasers experience, and your first hour of parking on a weekday jaunt is free. Alternatively, IKEA FAMILY cardmembers are also entitled to a total of 3 free hours of parking at the mall. Both these promos are limited to the first 50 shoppers daily, so you might want to head over early to score.
More than just home to outlet stores, Anchorpoint will be hitting you with a series of deals and activities that will make your next stint there a worthwhile one.
From snagging free vouchers to fun-filled activities for kids to let loose in, drop by anytime from now to 10th November 2019 for these deals. The next time my family suggests a visit to IKEA, rest assured that I’ll be dragging them opposite as well.
