Well-Being Bar at Millenia Walk
In this fast-paced, work-focused society, it’s easy to forget to slow down and check in on ourselves – and those around us. That’s where the Well-Being Bar comes in – it’s part of the Singapore Design Week 2025, serving up care instead of alcohol. Happening at Millenia Walk from now till 21st September 2025, this interactive pop-up bar by Happiness Initiative is a safe and inclusive spot for anyone who needs a breather.
How did the Well-Being Bar pop-up come about?
Inspired by how people often find comfort and connection in bars, the folks at Happiness Initiative decided to introduce a wholesome twist with the Well-Being Bar. Here, you’ll find hands-on activities that encourage visitors to share positive messages and walk away with a feel-good experience that’s just as memorable.
What to expect at the Well-Being Bar
1. Journal Cocktail
Customisable journals filled with thoughtful prompts

While Happiness Initiative already offers Well-Being Journals, the Well-Being Bar takes things up a notch by letting you mix and match “ingredients” of your choice at the Journal Cocktail section. At this zone, you’ll receive an order sheet to select what goes into your 160-page journal package:
- Lite ($49.90) – 3 set content with 100 pages filler
- Classic ($54.90) – 5 set content with 60 pages filler
- Luxe ($59.90) – 8 set content

Select from 15 different themed content across 3 categories: Self & Stillness, Me & Others, and Passion & Purpose. Some themes include Finding Calm in Chaos, Forgiveness for Yourself and Others, and Finding What Fuels You. Each set comes with a mix of questions, quotes, and activities to guide your journaling – like a bartender’s secret recipe, but for self-reflection.

After organising your journal with filler pages, pick from 5 different journal covers designed by local artists. Every choice you make is unique to you, ensuring that no 2 journals are the same. Each journal will be hand-bound by the team, and you’ll receive it within 2 weeks.
2. Snap a Selfie
Take a photo & leave a message

Snap a Selfie isn’t your typical photobooth. Instead of the usual ring light and camera setup, you’ll find a retro phone that’s been fitted with a camera and screen for you and your friends to take fun photos. On top of that, there are questions that you can answer and share. All you need to do is pick up the phone and leave a message.
3. Affirmation Shots
A positive message for everyone

Instead of a shot of soju, enjoy Affirmation Shots at the Well-Being Bar, where you won’t be downing any drinks. Each shot glass contains an inspiring message, guaranteed to uplift your spirits and leave a smile on your face.

Some affirmations include, “Cheers to showing up, even on the hard days” and “Here’s a shot of clarity: you’re doing better than you think”. These simple words of encouragement can easily brighten your day, and are the kind of reminders you can carry with you when you need a quick mood boost.
4. My (happy) Drunken Confession
Share your wins with others

Some of us might share sad thoughts when drunk, but what happens when you’re filled with positivity? At My (happy) Drunk Confession, you’re prompted to pen down something that you’ve done that deserves a celebration.

Whether it’s something big like a job promotion or as small as cleaning your room, this booth gives everyone a chance to take pride in themselves. After writing your thoughts, drop the card into the confession box or stick it up on the wall.
5. Cheers, with Gratitude
Send a free postcard

At the Cheers, with Gratitude booth, take your time to write a postcard to someone you want to show your appreciation to. After writing your letter, don’t forget to add the receiver’s address, as the team from the Well-Being Bar will mail the postcard out for free.

Head down to the Well-Being Bar for some self-care
The Well-Being Bar is one of the many care-themed events around the Marina Central district for Singapore Design Week 2025. After all, design isn’t just about fancy products or modern buildings; it’s also about designing experiences that add a little more joy to your everyday life. Or as Sherman, co-founder of Happiness Initiative, puts it: “Designing for care is designing moments where happiness is always on tap.”
Another pop-up to check out is the Unnatural History Museum of Singapore, also part of Singapore Design Week 2025, which is happening at the National Design Centre. Here, you’ll find a giant Merlion fossil, cyborg roaches, and sausages from the future.
