2. Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu

Much to all meat lovers’ delight, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu has finally opened an outlet in the East. Its Parkway Parade outlet is now officially welcoming customers to sink their teeth into their crispy-gold cutlets of thick, juicy beef.

As their name suggests, the restaurant specialises in gyukatsu, which are medium-rare beef cutlets that can be further seared to one’s desired doneness upon a personal earthenware grill. A must-try of theirs is the Signature Half-and-Half Gyukatsu Zen set (from $29), which features a hearty serving of sirloin paired with premium cuts like beef tongue and chuck flap, or even the coveted Miyazaki A5 sirloin.

To celebrate their new opening, on Mondays to Thursdays from 11am-4pm, kids under 10 years old get to dine for free with every 2 Zen sets ordered. Their options aren’t too shabby either; little ones get to chow down on appropriately sized meals like A5 Wagyu Beef Curry and Minced Wagyu Kids’ sets.
