Located on the first floor of a building in downtown Saigon, TRE Eatery & Bar has been an instant hit among gourmets and bar-lovers across the city. It was run by Tâm Minh Phạm, a celebrated bartender behind several well-known bars such as ATM bar, Alley Bar, and Liquid Room.

The owner of this place took inspiration from bamboo, a plant commonly found in Japan and Vietnam. That’s why you can spot many Vietnamese and Japanese dishes on their menu.

In fact, you can find many Asian food and drinks, especially the Vietnamese and Japanese ones, when browsing the menu. For Japanese dishes, the ingredients vary from Japanese kingfish to Hokkaido scallops to Miyagi oysters.

Meanwhile, the signature pheasant consommé is a nice twist on the common French soup with distinctive Chinese ingredients, namely bok choy and wonton, and top-notch Western specialties such as truffle and foie gras. TRE Eatery & Bar has a tapas bar next to the dining space. Though quite small, the bar is designed to give off a vintage atmosphere, with moderated yellow light warming up the surroundings, and jazz music playing in the background, ideal for your chats with friends. On Fridays and Saturdays, the bar also features live performances by the city’s indie bands.

Currently, you can enjoy a Free Flow deal, meaning 50% off on selected tapas, cocktails, beers, sparkling drinks, and wine, when visiting this place from 5pm to 8pm on weekdays.
