Mầm Coffee Tea Beer, Saigon: Country-Style Cafe With Nostalgic Decor And Flowing River

Mầm coffee tea beer – a green cafe with a rustic vibe and verdant surroundings

Cafes with a green vibe have become more and more common throughout Saigon. Sadly, the illusion of being away from the dusty city sometimes shatters once you look out the window.

Mầm coffee tea beer manages to avoid this problem by dedicating an entire space deep inside an alley, complete with a pond and wooden structures for a fantastic countryside experience right in Saigon.

Countryside-inspired cafe with a quaint cottage and calming scenery

Located on 28 Thảo Điền Street, you will have to walk for a couple of minutes into this alley before reaching the actual location.

With a small cottage surrounded by plants, rustic architecture, and vegetable fields, this cafe brings nostalgia to those whose homes might be far from the city. A great temporary solution for those who are a bit homesick.

There is a nearby river that adds to the calming mood of the scenery and gorgeous photo moments for Instagrammers.

The cafe also has cute dogs frolicking around the area. Petting them might be a hard task, however, due to their shyness.

Refreshing red artichoke tea that hits deep on hot days

Mầm coffee tea beer offers a wide variety of drinks – from coffee, tea, and fresh fruit juices to healthy snacks such as yogurt with jam. While the menu does not follow the countryside theme, its deliciousness trumps all complaints.

Sweet and sour red artichoke tea

A recommendation that we found delightful was the red artichoke tea (VND55,000, ~USD2.33), a surprisingly tangy tea that hits you deep with an energetic sour note – perfect for those hot, tiring days.

Mầm coffee tea beer – a cafe with green surroundings and charming decor

Mầm coffee tea beer is a gorgeous addition to the list of green cafes around Saigon, but this time in a bigger scale – with some fantastic decorations for gorgeous photos.

Do note that the cafe does not have air conditioning, and despite the presence of trees and a large body of water, it can get quite hot sometimes, so dress accordingly.

Even if you’re not interested in taking photos, this is still a place worth exploring. There are some delicious nearby restaurants when you’re feeling a bit hungry after, so check this place out when you have the chance!

Address: 28 Thảo Điền Street, Thảo Điền Ward, District 2, Hồ Chí Minh City, walk straight into the alley for several minutes and you’ll find the cafe’s entrance.
Opening hours: Mon-Fri 7am-7pm | Sat-Sun 7am-10pm
