Hơi Béo Cà Phê, Saigon: Capsule Cafe With Cozy Private Spaces For Mid-Work Naps

HCMC capsule cafe with creamy drinks

Capsule cafes have been a recent addition to unique cafe concepts in Saigon, offering small private pods with amenities such as beds and tables for guests who either want their own little temporary office space, or a place to lie down for a quick siesta.

Among these sleepy cafes, Hơi Béo Cà Phê offers private spaces and delicious, creamy, egg-flavored drinks to its customers.

The main star of this cafe is its many small pods, separated by a thin layer of wooden panels and a curtain for privacy. These pods are well-ventilated, big enough to seat 3 people each, and come equipped with tables, shelves, and electrical outlets – so that you can have a comfortable time inside.

The rooms themselves are fairly cheap to book. With an order of food and drinks from VND35,000 (~USD1.45), you’re set for an entire private room of your own.

If you want the room to come equipped with beds and pillows for a quick nap or just to make your stay comfier, the price will be VND65,000 to VND180,000 (~USD2.67-USD7.40) depending on your duration of stay as well as the number of people in your group. Those who pay for a 6-hour experience will get a free drink.

A trip to a cafe wouldn’t be complete without delicious drinks. True to its name “Hơi Béo”, meaning “a bit creamy”, the shop’s signature lies in its variety of egg-infused drinks, ranging from coffee and chocolate to matcha tea, all for an affordable VND49,000 (~USD2.06).

These concoctions come with a thick layer of egg-flavored cream, adding a new depth of deliciousness to your drinking experience.

Cheaper alternatives for people who don’t like eggs also include fruit smoothies (VND43,000, ~USD1.78) and egg-less tea and coffee, ranging from VND35,000 (~USD1.45) to VND39,000 (~USD1.62).
