Not a place I would frequent, despite the cute clothes
Overall Rating

Bershka is my go-to place, if I’m looking for casual boho-chic clothes. In my opinion, clothes from Bershka are really fashionable and up-to-date. The versatility and quality are also what makes me love Bershka so much.

I never regret any of my Bershka purchases as they are really sooo comfortable! The prices aren’t low but for the quality and material, it’s really worth it. Skip the Bershka basics though, I’m sure you can get similar pieces for a cheaper price elsewhere. They don’t really have sales often too, which makes me hesitant to revisit often.

Sadly, Bershka isn’t a place where I would shop frequently due to the steep prices. However, I’d visit sometimes just to indulge myself in the cute clothes.

Bershka is one of my favorite places to shop at because of the great quality of their clothes, and the reasonable price of most items in the shop. I love how I can get party dresses for $80 or less at Bershka, and look like I bought them from Herve Leger.

However, some of of the staff from the Ion outlet can be quite rude, dampening my shopping mood. They were quite cranky when I asked them for another size and took a long time to get back to me.

Also, there was once during the sale period when the cashier refused to reserve a dress for me for an hour because I had to meet my family for dinner (and that was the only piece left). However, I was lucky that the dress was still available on the sales floor when I went back after dinner. When I proceeded to the cashier to pay it, the very same cashier refused to greet me or even look at me, and just put out her hand to me, signalling me to pass the dress to her. Also, after she packed the dress in a plastic bag, she simply threw it on the table and served the next customer. This was an extremely bad experience and definitely the worst I ever had during all my years of shopping.

Other than the disgusting service, they actually do have cheap and nice clothes.

Great casual clothes, but the loud music is too annoying!

Bershka is one of the best options if you are looking for fun and stylish clothes. I believe that its affiliation with Zara has made it even more popular, but each brand has its own distinct style. Bershka's fashion is vibrant, colourful and youth-oriented, with a hint of punk. I particularly like their accessories -- they never fail to brighten up any outfit!

However, I'm rather turned off by the loud music played in the store. I have never thought that the background music could actually affect my shopping experience -- Bershka is the first. I always make a quick browse around the store and if nothing catches my eye, I will leave as soon as possible because the music really bothers me a lot. Ironically, I feel that the loud music may be one of the things that draws youngsters to the store...to each his own I guess!

unique and trendy fashion range
Overall Rating

I have always been attracted to the apparels and shoes at Bershka, as the fashion style is rather unique and trendy. The cutting of the clothes does not really fit me though, especially those fitting ones, thus I am more likely to getting the off-shoulder and baggy shirts from Bershka. The material used to make the clothing varies, and I will be more likely to get the cotton ones opposed to the flimsy, see-through types although they would be good for layering and wearing with leggings.

I do get some of their footwear as well, but found that the cutting of the slippers are a little weird as the slim cutting of the slippers wound up with me stepping on the straps. Their range of footwear is a little pricy though and does not have comfy feet padding on the base.

Despite the price, there is still often a crowd at Bershka. There seems to be a lack of service personnel as the apparels and shoes are often strewn in different places despite the service staff constant packing and assisting the customers in finding the designs and sizes of the products. It can get frustrating and I have given up trying to get a sales assistant to help me, and just leave the shop.

Spanish Youth

Originally founded in 1998 as part of the Spanish Inditex group, Bershka was founded to target the younger generation. It has trendier and bolder designs as compared to its counterparts like Zara and Stradivarius. When the first store opened in Singapore Ion, I was thrilled as I have been a fan of the brand and would frequently patronize the stores on overseas trips. However, I must say that I was and am still quite disappointed with the range of clothing that is being brought in.

Perhaps the seasonal factor plays an important role in determining the type of clothes to bring in to suit the local market, but it was quite disheartening that the bulk of the items are more loud and provocative than the brand actually is. The punk-rock-ish designed store in Ion is relatively big and usually stocked with seasonal clothings and shoes. It makes it especially easy to compare when the store is placed walking distance from Pull and Bear. The clothings are relatively similar in design pricing and even colours, thus making it look just like another branch. Bershka shoes however, can be quite worth the money if you are all so lucky enough to find the right size amongst the crowd of shoes cluttered around the stool.

Bershka is a fashion retailer catering to the youths and young adults of both genders, selling clothes of all seasons, accessories, jewelleries and bags. They offer a fairly wide range of clothes in the spacious layout of the shop.

Products at Bershka are usually characterised by a splash of bright summer colours all round the year. Their jeans are relatively cheap and value for money. In terms of price, it is comparable to that of which of Pull&Bear and Stradivarius which are its fashion affiliates being under the same umbrella company. Style-wise, clothes at Bershka are not exactly fashionably stylish. What they are, however, are easy-to-wear pretty apparel. That said, they sometimes do sell a few gorgeous pieces. I once spotted a beautiful and uncommonly found tribal bag at which they were selling for $50.

In terms of service, Bershka performs slightly above average. Their changing rooms are always tended and the working attitudes of the retail staff are fairly good.
