Since its founding back in 2012, ZALORA has fast become one of Southeast Asia’s biggest online shopping portals. They recently launched Southeast Asia’s first digital interactive pop-up store at ION Orchard. Their brand new concept is innovative and attempts to push the boundaries of the retail shopping experience.
When I first visited the ZALORA pop up store, I was intrigued yet confused about the workings of this concept. It is similar to any retail outlet in ION, being bright, trendy and organised. The ZALORA store is especially spacious, but what stood out is that each section or rack of clothes was equipped with the brand new Samsung ALPHA 4G+ tablets and an Apple iMac next to it.
This pop up store allows shoppers to browse through the ZALORA catalogue, which has over 30,000 different styles and apparel, and try out these items in-store to ensure the perfect fit! Once a shopper knows what she wants, she can just go online on the iMac to place her order.
Another advantage of this concept is that shoppers don’t have to take their purchases with them and can go on freely with their plans for the day. After placing their orders, the ZALORA delivery team will deliver the order within 1 to 3 days, and shoppers only need to make payment upon delivery!
I was thoroughly impressed by this shopping concept, which allows online shoppers to try on their purchases while having their loot personally delivered to them – bringing the best of both online and offline shopping together.
Drop by ZALORA at ION Orchard to experience this a brand new shopping concept!
