The Woodlands neighbourhood is no stranger to greenery, and Northies familiar with the area have mostly likely chanced upon Woodlands Town Park East. This tranquil nature spot is nestled amongst a slew of HDB blocks and is home to a myriad of hiking trails, flora, and fauna.

Hike around the 30M-high hilltop


This peaceful park is perfect for outdoorsy folks who want to clock in some laps away from more crowded nature reserves in Singapore. But even if “fitspo” isn’t in your dictionary, you don’t have to worry about burning yourself out as the walk up the 30M-high hill shouldn’t take longer than 15 minutes.

Visitors will be able to enjoy walking through a number of trails in the park, with lush trees and boulders lining the pathways.

Besides offering sheltered pathways perfect for rainy days, this park also comes with a designated section for plant and insect life to flourish – visit the park’s manicured gardens to try your luck at spotting all sorts of beautiful butterfly species!


Visting Woodlands Town Park East


Woodlands Town Park East may be comparably smaller than most green spots in Singapore, but its decent range of trails and gardens do offer residents a slice of serenity away from work and city life. 

And if all that hiking has got you feeling hungry, you’ll be able to fuel at a range of eateries nearby such as Marsiling Mall, The Woodgrove and Al-Ameen.

Bus: Take buses 187, 961, 963 and drop off at ‘Blk 178’ bus stop (46569)
MRT: Alight at Marsiling MRT (~20-minute walk)
