In case you’ve not caught it yet, Wicked’s still pretty popular amongst the musical and film-loving crowd as we countdown to the new year. But, if you can’t get enough of the wonders of the movie, then book a ticket to Universal Studios Singapore.
That’s because the theme park’s New York zone has been given a little makeover and now resembles the magnificent Emerald City from the flick. From coming face-to-face with the Wizard of Oz to getting a bewitching makeover, here’s what you can expect at USS’ Celebrate Wicked themed installation when you swing by right before 2025 hits.
Universal Studios Singapore’s Celebrate Wicked is a limited time installation within the New York zone of the theme park. It will be available from now till 1st January 2025, so do book your tickets via the Resorts World Sentosa website soon to catch it before it leaves after the New Year celebrations.

The installation will play host to several familiar scenes ripped straight from the recent blockbuster, making for IG-worthy photo spots to plaster all over your socials. Also, feel free to wave hello to the many mascots around the park as they’re known to be extra friendly.
Once you’ve got your shots, grab Wicked-themed bites from the food carts around the park. Of course, you’re gonna want to snag a memento too, and you can do just that at the Universal Studios gift shop.

If updating the ‘Gram is what you’re after, then you’re in for a treat. The Celebrate Wicked installation has various photo spots for you to conduct your own photoshoots. For starters, there’s a stage designed with a huge door that you’ll find Glinda and Elphaba stationed at for meet-and-greet sessions, so don’t be shy to ask for a pic.
But be warned; the door at the back occasionally opens to reveal an animatronic head of Wizard of Oz. The disembodied head even speaks like the one in the movie, so don’t be too spooked when you hear its deep rumbling voice for the first time.

Other mystical pit stops include this Emerald City Station booth that you can step into which is filled with brochures and leaflets, and a flower stand on a bike that’s manned by a gleaming florist handing out bouquets of flowers.

Also, pick up a copy of the Emerald City Times from a dapper Ozmopolitan running a roving newsstand, and get your shoes polished completely FOC by a professional bootblack.

For those looking for a truly immersive experience, head right to the Emerald Beautification Salon to get either an Elphaba or Glinda-inspired makeover. For $30, they’ll glam up your look with face paint, hair styling, and nail services, so be prepared to turn some heads.

Once you’re a bit peckish, swing by the many restaurants or food carts around the theme park to indulge on some Wicked-themed nosh. Offerings include dainty Perfectly Pink Croissants, slices of piping-hot Ozmopolitan Ham & Pineapple Pizza, and the suspicious-looking Bewitching Beef & Mushroom Croissant Burger.

Don’t forget to stop by the Universal Studios gift shop to bring home some exclusive merch. They’ve even spruced up the place by displaying intricate costumes of Madame Morrible and the Wizard himself in the storefront. Once you step inside, trinkets that you can peruse include matching keychains, snowglobes, and even a small luggage for your own expedition across Oz.

We’ve got just a couple of days left of 2024, so if you’re not already overseas to spend the New Year, visit USS to have a gander at its Wicked-infused happenings. Moreover, if you swing by from now till 31st December 2024, there’ll be Christmas fireworks happening over Lake Hollywood at 9pm daily, which is perfect for closing the year with a bang.
