The National Museum Of Indonesia, also known as the Elephant Building to local Jakarta people, is an archeological, historical, ethnological, and geographical museum with 4 levels and over 16 massive galleries. The National Museum Of Indonesia houses one of the most massive and comprehensive collections in Southeast Asia, with over 65,000 artefacts, and covers nearly the entire history of Indonesia.

Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, which means Beautiful Indonesia Miniature Park, is located in East Jakarta, and features a mini synopisis of the daily life and culture of Indonesia 26 provinces. Each of these 26 provinces are encapsulated within separate pavilions in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, and depicts examples of the local architecture, arts, tools, environments, clothing, and traditions for each of the 26 provinces. There are also 14 museums located here, including the Science And Technology Display Centre, the Indonesia Museum, the Komodo Zoological Museum And Reptile Park; and also many exhibits, rides, parks and more.

Ragunan Zoo in South Jakarta houses over 270 species of animals and birds, and over 170 species of plants. Many of the animals in Ragunan Zoo are native to Indonesia, and are also considered endangered. They include the komodo dragon, orangutan, tapir, anoa, binturong, Javan porcupine, Java mouse-deer, Sumatran tiger, gorilla, chimpanzee, banteng wild ox, Javan hawk-eagle, Bali myna, Sumatran elephant, and more.

The Wayang Museum has a collection of various shadow puppets and dolls used in traditional Indonesia shadow puppetry shows, such as wayang kulit and wayang golek. The Fine Art And Ceramic Museum has a collection of traditional fine / high art, handicrafts and ceramics from reowned artists in Indonesia.
