Hotels in Tokyo often come well-equipped with a futuristic bathroom, but you’ll either have to compromise on a) space, or b) convenience. But when we’re on holiday, that’s all we’re looking for – a hotel that has enough space to fit our luggage and is conveniently located a stone’s throw away from the city centre.
With that in mind, we’ve come up with a list of 8 comfortable hotels near Tokyo’s major train stations like Ginza, Shibuya, and Harajuku.

As one of Tokyo’s high-end shopping areas, Ginza is filled with towering department stores and upmarket boutiques. Weekend afternoons are best spent at Ginza’s main street Chuo Dori – it becomes a pedestrian zone from 12PM to 5PM, and shoppers are free to stroll around leisurely.
The nearest train stations to Ginza are Ginza Station on the Hibiya, Marunouchi, and Ginza Subway Lines and Yurakucho Station on the JR Yamanote Line, JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, and Yurakucho Subway Line.

Much like the area it’s in, Hotel Musse Ginza Meitetsu is one classy abode with floor-to-ceiling windows and a complimentary in-room Nespresso machine. They’ve got a wide array of rooms, and non-smokers will be pleased that they have Non-Smoking rooms so there’s no need to worry about the leftover stench of smoke.
No matter what your budget is, you can choose from rooms as practical as the Standard Double Room to luxe options like the King Room with Balcony on High Floor.

Whatever it is, book a room that comes with the Breakfast Buffet – there’s a generous spread of hearty breakfast dishes like scrambled eggs and rashers of bacon that’ll gear you up for a full day shopping around Ginza.

Unlike its name suggests, Hotel Vintage comes modernly decked out with everything we’ve gotten used to in our first world bubble – free WiFi, fridge, and even a complimentary mobile phone with internet.

Their bathrooms are equally spacious, with a full-blown bathtub where you can soak away all worries.

Dormy Inn Premium Shibuya Jingumae Hot Spring is an overwhelmingly popular choice, so if you’re heading down during peak season, make sure to book early. It’s not often that a hotel in the heart of the city comes with a full-blown onsen.
This particular onsen adds in yuzu fruits which offers a soothing citrus scent.
