With the internet being taken over by all things Squid Game-related from merchandise to memes, it’s no surprise that the series is the hottest theme for Halloween this year. For those who can’t get enough of it, immerse yourself in what looks like Singapore’s first Squid Game event.
We introduce to you The Secret Patio’s Sotong Game, happening this Halloween from 30th – 31st October 2021.

Those active on social media may know of The Secret Patio, a Duxton Hill cafe best known for their recent super-chio indoor garden party. This October, they’re pulling out all the stops with a Squid Game-inspired dinner and game event, where participants will be sucked into an immersive evening lasting two hours.

Sotong Game invites all Squid Game enthusiasts to sign up in pairs to enjoy a unique four-course meal. This includes a Steak or Squid Ink Pasta main and chocolate mousse dessert topped with a dalgona lollipop for dessert.

A series of non-lethal table games further lies in store. The Secret Patio has shared that the games will be based on local childhood games and toys, but no other tips have been revealed so you’ll have to head down for yourself to find out. No cheating like Mr Byeong-gi here – there’ll also be a Front Man, a squad of guards and forfeits for all those who break the rules.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a KRW 45.6 million prize pool in store – but that’s fine. A 3D printed custom-made guard mask worth $200 lies in wait if you have the wit of Player 456. A free goodie bag with surprise toys will also be handed out to all participants.
Photo ops will be available for the ‘gram – pics or it didn’t happen, right?
