The first half of June has brought us through a bout of night markets and bazaars. And while it might seem like the events extravaganza is coming to an end, cheer up cause it ain’t.
Happening from 22nd – 24th June, mini-market The Pilot Project will be held in *SCAPE, from 11am – 10pm daily. With free admission, you can look forward to more than 20 retail and F&B stores, delicious food and free yoga sessions – but with a little twist. All of these stores are founded by locally, including well-known brand Bonjour.

Bonjour’s delish bread variety and Udders ice cream will definitely ring a bell in any Singaporean’s heads. But I betcha didn’t know that they’re actually local brands. In line with the event’s promotion of creativity and innovation, these 2 brands are collaborating to give out old school ice cream sandwiches* that we all know and love – for free!

Very much like the old-school rainbow ice cream breads we used to get from ice cream uncles, you’ll be getting two scoops of Udder’s artisan ice cream with any of these 4 Bonjour Speciality Loaves:
All you have to do is flash Bonjour’s Facebook or Instagram post on their page and voila, you’d have a cool dessert to enjoy in the heat.
*Limited to the first 100 customers each day from 22 – 24 June
But don’t worry if you missed out on being the first 100! Regular customers can also stand a chance to win one of 3 x $50 CapitaLand Vouchers. All you have to do is upload a picture of your ice cream sandwich on your public instagram account with the hashtags #OldSchoolBonjour #ThePilotProject #SCAPESG and tag @bonjoursg and @scapesg.
Make sure to pop by hungry ‘cause there will be stores like The 6ixs Rosti, Be Frank Hot Dogs and Twenty Grammes to fill your tummies up.
Other nosh available include:
For shopaholics, some of the participating local retail stores include The Everyday Club, which sells adorable tote bags, and homegrown shoe brand The World at Your Feet. These indie stores will make sure you never encounter a dreaded outfit clash again.
Other fashion booths include:
There will also be an outdoor rooftop cinema by FunZing on 23rd June, Saturday, 7pm. And if you’re interested in trying out yoga, make sure to block out 24th June on your calendars, ‘cuz local studio Yoga Movement will be conducting a free, hour-long yoga session at 4pm!
For those that proclaim “there’s nothing to do in Singapore,” head down to The Pilot Project this weekend at *SCAPE, where a bunch of local businesses have come together in celebration and support of entrepreneurship and collaboration.
Beyond the fun and free activities, you’ll also be supporting local startups and companies. It can be hard to create a brand from scratch, much less last years in the industry – so kudos to brands like Bonjour who have filled our shelves – and tummies – for around 20 years!
With Bonjour’s variety of flavours, you can level-up your breakfasts with their speciality bread range. This includes Bonjour’s Choc Chip Loaf and Butterscotch Loaf, both perfect for all the sweet tooths out there. There’s bound to be a flavour that can turn your dreary mornings into a more flavourful one!
And if loaves aren’t your thing, their cream rolls and croissants are available as Grab-&-Go snacks as well.
P.S. Past the standard spread-on-bread, here are some fun recipes you can play around with your Bonjour breads.
