The Cat Café: Bugis’ Rescue Cat Haven Where You Can Pet Furry Felines From $16/Pax

The Cat Café at Bugis

There’s just something therapeutic about pet cafes, especially for those of us who don’t have the privilege of raising our own. With 2 locations at Bugis and The Rail Mall, The Cat Café is the perfect spot for cat lovers to meet some adorable felines.

Whether you’re not ready for the responsibility of owning a pet or simply don’t have the time, you’ll get your fix of interacting with some furry friends here – all while enjoying some yummy cafe nosh.

Located just a stone’s throw away from Bugis Street, The Cat Café’s Bugis branch is a stark contrast to the busy shopping area below. Step in and you’ll be greeted by a spacious, cosy wooden interior decked out with stretching posts, ladders and toys for the kitties.

Now, the best part – you’ll find 15 adorable cats wandering around, all aged between 8 and 15 years old. These “senior” felines are generally tamer and more chill, making them perfect for those who prefer calmer interactions.

To make things even better, the cafe takes in rescues – all its cats were once strays who now have a forever home.

Of course, a pet cafe wouldn’t be complete without food, and you’ll be able to take your pick from The Cat Café’s menu of pastries and drinks. Munch on lighter snacks like muffins ($3) and potato chips ($2), or heavier bites like chicken wraps ($6.50) and baked macaroni ($9.50)

Don’t forget to finish off your meal with some dessert as well. The cafe serves a range of sweet treats, such as vanilla ice cream ($3) and cakes ($8). While the $16 entry fee already comes with a free soft drink, other beverages you can purchase include freshly-brewed lattes ($6), gryphon teas ($4.50) and orange juice ($5).

Cuddling with cats while sipping on a cold brew sounds like an ideal weekend outing, whether you’re heading here with the kiddos or for a snuggly first date.
