If your Instagram FYP has convinced you that you desperately need one but don’t want to end up spending a bomb at a squishy shop in Singapore, you’ll be glad to know that there are options in JB worth checking out.
Here are some squishy shops in JB, with options starting from just RM2.70 (~S$0.90).

You might walk into Zila Beauty Shop expecting affordable cosmetics, but the store has another rather squishy surprise. Alongside its beauty products, you’ll find shelves stocked with a surprisingly wide range of sensory toys.
There are slow-rising, crunchy, scented, butter, and larger squishies to choose from. Designs range from cat paws and doughnuts to bread, chocolate bars, Hello Kitty, and other cute characters.

With all the squishy content going around lately, you might also recognise some viral and collectible designs here. There are even NeeDoh-style squishies if you prefer something more tactile than traditional foam varieties.
Prices remain fairly wallet-friendly, with butter squishies at RM10 (~S$3.10), dumpling squishies at RM10 (~S$3.10), and banana squishies at RM10 (~S$3.10). Strawberry squishies cost slightly more at RM12 (~S$3.70).

Then there are the wonderfully unserious ones. The Squishy PVA Dough Filled Poo costs RM5.90 (~S$1.80), while the Blowing Bubbles Squishy Toy costs RM6.90 (~S$2.10) and produces a bubble from its mouth when squeezed.
You can also grab a Flipping Pet for RM6.30 (~S$2), which deforms and reshapes as you play with it. Since Mr. Dollar has outlets in popular JB malls, it’s an easy detour during a shopping trip.
If your dream squishy collection looks suspiciously like the contents of a supermarket trolley, check out ToySpark at Angsana Johor Bahru Mall. The baby gear and toy retailer carries plenty of realistic food-themed designs.
Cheaper options include a Fruit/Vegetable Squishy Set, Cheese Block Squishy, and Chocolate Bar Squishy, each priced at RM14.31 (~S$4.40) on sale, down from RM15.90 (~S$4.90).

Not all squishies are created equal, and 10 Cent Vibe in Mount Austin is one for shoppers who are particular about texture. The handicraft shop carries squishies alongside slime, fidget toys, and other sensory goodies.
Prices here start from RM6.90 (~S$2.15) for the Cheesecake Cat Squishy, while the adorable Penguin Squishy goes for RM9.90 (~S$3.10). You can also pick up a Donut Squishy for RM12 (~S$3.70).

Now that your social media FYP has sent you down the squishy rabbit hole, Pi Puffy Store is where things get serious. The store specialises in slime and squishy toys, and operates primarily online.
One of its highlights is a dedicated Lisa Squishy/Squeezing Toy collection. This popular collection is known for slow-rising, scented foam toys, with soft-rebound, stress-relief, character, and novelty designs available.
These aren’t quite the throw-it-into-your-basket impulse buys found elsewhere on this list. Lisa Squishies cost around RM45.80 to RM98.80 (~S$14.20 to ~S$30.60), putting them firmly in premium and collector territory.

You might know Box Hunt for its blind boxes, but there’s another reason to pop by when you’re at KSL City Mall. The store also carries an assortment of squishies, including plenty of food, fruit, and stress-toy designs.
Expect everything from Corgi Bread, Cheese, Corn, Cinnamon Roll, and Dumpling Bun Squishies to fruit and vegetable-themed ones. There are also Butter Squishies, NeeDoh, and other stress-toy varieties.
Squishies are priced at around RM25 (~S$7.80) each, although promotions can make them considerably cheaper. Deals such as 3 for RM50 (~S$15.50) and buy 2, get 1 free have been spotted at the store.
For instance, content creator Alison managed to pick up 3 squishies for ~S$16, so it’s worth checking what promotions are running when you visit.
Umi 5 is primarily an IT gadgets and accessories store, but its Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru outlet also stocks a surprisingly varied collection of squishies.
Prices start from just RM5 (~S$1.60), although they vary depending on the size and quality. Food-inspired designs include Jumbo Cheese, Fried Chicken, Long Bread, Butter, Egg Bread, and Peanut Squishies.

Those who prefer crunchy textures can look out for the Crunchy Waffle Squishy and Crunchy Stitch-Themed Squishy. There’s also a Vaseline-Type Cloud Pleaser Soft Doh Squishy if you’re after something softer.
Other finds include Blind Box Halloween Dumpling Squishies, plus fruit-themed designs such as bananas, strawberries, and grapes. Don’t be surprised if you walk in for a charging cable and leave holding a jumbo block of squishy cheese.
