COVID-19 has put a pause on many social activities – marathons and nights out drinking included. While these two events may seem as distant from each other as night and day, a beer-themed run with Solemates Beer Run Round the Bay combines the two for potent motivation as you sweat it out between the checkpoints.
Running on the track or on a treadmill can get monotonous, and it’s little wonder that there always seems to be runners plying routes around our CBD. The SoleMates Beer Run route will bring you past views like the Esplanade and Fullerton Bay Hotel while on your way to your next stop for drinks.
More importantly, it avoids road junctions – meaning that not even traffic lights can stop you from getting to your next glass of beer.

Upon registration at Chimi’s, you’ll receive a SoleMate Beer Run Card that includes the running route and the F&B pit stops where you can redeem your beers.
For $38, you’ll get to redeem one of your three 150ML beers at each pit stop. Simply present your runner’s card at Le Noir Marina Bay Sands, L’Entrecote Customs House and Chimi’s – the latter of which will be your first and final stop.
The run starts at 5PM and all you’ll need to do is ensure you’re back at Chimi’s by 7PM to redeem your last beer and a plate of tacos. That way, whether you’re a novice runner or just there for the beer, you’ll have ample time to take a leisurely walk from stop to stop while taking in the city view.
For a fun time over drinks with slightly less guilt, SoleMates Beer Run lets you sweat off the booze between pit stops. This beer-themed run is happening every Sunday till the end of the year, so don’t forget to get your tickets soon!
