Before you know it, we’re left with the last quarter of 2024 to tide through before we can start packing our bags for that perfect winter holiday we’ve got lined up. However, if you simply can’t wait that long or aren’t willing to cross continents to revel in sub-zero climate, just head over to Malaysia’s answer to unbearably hot days, SnowLim Wonderland.
It’s a new attraction that has only recently opened its doors, and boy is it cool, literally. Here’s what you can expect once you step foot into this winter wonderland, from slides made of ice to a café complete with frosted-over furniture.
SnowLim Wonderland is a winter-themed indoor playground located in Seremban. It’s about an hour’s drive from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, or about a 3.5 hours drive if you’re coming from either the Woodlands or Tuas Checkpoints in Singapore. Tickets are starting from RM50 (~S$14.87) for children aged 2 to 11, and RM60 (~S$17.84) for adults.

Should you decide to make the trip down to SnowLim Wonderland, you can whiz down on their ice slides, or take a ride on their snow Merry-go-round. Other activities you can partake in include going snow tubing, making duck-shaped snowballs, and warming up with a hot cup of coffee at the on-site Winter Wonderland Café.
As most of SnowLim Wonderland’s rides, activities and sculptures are crafted from blocks of ice, temperatures within its premises can go as low as -25°C.

Your tickets come bundled with free rental of their winter jackets, but feel free to don your own hats and gloves to keep warm. Do note that visitors wearing slippers, high heeled shoes, and shorts or skirts will not be permitted into SnowLim Wonderland, so come in covered shoes with good traction and long pants.
Once you’re all geared up and chill-proof, you’ll be able to try your hand at a slew of wintry activities at SnowLim Wonderland.
Their ice slides are popular with visitors; you’ll spot adrenaline-seeking kids and adults alike queueing up to speed down this slippery ride. They’ve also got a wider slope where you can do some snow tubing to save your butt from getting too cold.
For more thrills, have a go on their snow Merry-go-round. Just plop yourselves on one of its free-hanging seats and hang on tightly while the ride revolves at varying speeds. If you’re a sporty one, try your hand at a couple of rounds of curling or ice bowling.

Little ones can also have snowball fights and create adorable duck-shaped snowballs using moulds, or ride dolphin-like bicycles and zoom across SnowLim Wonderlands frosty grounds. IG-worthy backdrops are also aplenty, as the place is decorated with various intricate ice sculptures, such as a grand entrance of a castle.

A visit to their on-site Winter Wonderland Cafe is a must too. It even boasts furniture like chairs and tables made completely out of ice, so grab an icy seat. Order a piping hot cuppa joe to go down the hatch, or indulge in desserts like ice cream if you dare.
Of course, the snow-capped peaks of Harbin and Hokkaido can’t be beat, but if you’re itching for a glimpse of what your December holidays could look like, SnowLim Wonderland’s a great alternative. Just be sure to bring additional layers if you’re a wimp when it comes to chilly temperatures, as the temperatures inside dip well below freezing.
If the year-end holidays are all that are on your mind after reading this, here are some winter destinations in Australia to fill out your itineraries with.
