SkinSha at Plaza Singapura

If you’ve been keeping up with popular C-dramas like Pursuit of Jade and The Early Spring, you’ll know that Chinese celebs have been winning fans over with more than just their acting chops. Their flawless on-screen visuals are also enough to make us wonder what skincare products they’re using. And while we can’t promise you’ll achieve their glass-skin glow overnight, you can at least take a page out of their skincare routines.

We recently discovered SkinSha at Plaza Singapura, a beauty store carrying over 60 C-beauty brands, including products endorsed by famous Chinese celebrities. So we went down to check out what’s in store, as well as the deals that make it easier to give C-beauty a go.

Shop C-beauty brands that have a cult following in China but are lesser-known here

While big C-beauty names like Joocyee and Judydoll have already opened brick-and-mortar stores in SG, SkinSha carries brands that are less familiar to Singaporeans but have a following in China.

When we visited, the store attendant introduced us to a few of these brands, including Watercome, which is known for its moisturising and brightening bodycare products.

There’s the AHA Skin-Smoothing Fragrance Body Wash ($9.90), which can be paired with the Whitening & Brightening Body Essence Lotion ($16.90) as a final step in your routine. The latter is designed to moisturise and brighten your skin without leaving behind that sticky, greasy feeling Singapore’s hot and humid weather makes even more unbearable.

At under $20, these products are a relatively affordable way to try a brand you might not have come across otherwise.

Another brand to look out for is GUYU, a science-powered Chinese skincare brand founded in 2016. Its products focus on anti-ageing – if you’re looking to add some TLC to your under-eye area, the store attendant specifically recommended the Whitening Luminosity Repairing Eye Cream ($49).

What makes it stand out is that it comes with a photonic eye massager, which is designed to help the product absorb better.

Browse brands endorsed by popular Chinese celebrities

C-drama fans have another reason to pop by SkinSha: you’ll get to shop brands endorsed by your favourite Chinese celebs too!

We spotted DearIrean, a hair and bodycare brand fronted by actor Hou Minghao. Its products are known for their fresh, clean scents that can last up to 6 hours.

One of the brand’s popular picks is the Floating Water Hair Eau De Parfum, which was unfortunately already sold out when we visited. But if you’re keen to try the brand while waiting for it to restock, there’s also the Floating Water Fragrance Shower Wash ($14.90).

While you’re browsing, you can also pick up some skincare products for your boyfriend or husband. Inoherb, fronted by Zhang Linghe, is a skincare brand whose products are formulated with Traditional Chinese Medicine wisdom in mind.

If your other half’s skin tends to get oily quickly in Singapore’s hot and humid weather, check out the Dark Tea Cooling Oil-Control Cleanser ($9.90). Alternatively, the Dark Tea Blemish-Care Cleanser ($8.90) is formulated to target acne spots.

Both products are designed for men, so this is your chance to help him get started on a proper skincare routine without having to nag him to use yours.

Get your hands on makeup, nail products & fragrances at wallet-friendly prices

Besides skincare and bodycare, SkinSha also stocks a wide range of makeup, nail products, and fragrances.

For everyday makeup looks, the Veecci Ribbon 11-Colour Eyeshadow Palette ($13.90) comes with a mix of pink and neutral shades that are easy to work into your usual makeup routine. There are also popular picks like the MR.WISH Glue-Free Eyelashes ($11.90), which save you the hassle of applying lash glue.

We also spotted rows and rows of quick-drying nail polishes in a variety of colours and finishes, priced at just 5 for $10!

SkinSha also carries Inside Flow Eau de Parfum, with a 30ml bottle going for $39.90. It’s a handy size to add to your fragrance collection, especially if you’re looking to switch up your scent without committing to a full-sized bottle.

Girlies who love having long nails can stock up on press-on nail sets at 2 for $10. There’s a whole range of designs to choose from, including dainty and intricate patterns as well as simple everyday styles.

Each set also comes with everything you need to get your nails on, such as glue tabs and a mini nail file.

And because no makeup haul is complete without a few new lippies, SkinSha also stocks a range of MLBB (my lips but better) shades to choose from.

The Mooekiss Spotlight Dewy Plumping Lip Gloss ($9.90) is worth checking out for a juicy, glossy pout. Meanwhile, the Mooekiss Acqua Velvet Glow Lip Glaze ($9.90) comes in 4 shades, giving you a few options to switch up your look depending on your mood.

Explore health & wellness products

SkinSha sells health and wellness essentials for those days when your body needs some love too. You’ll find eye masks and heat packs designed for different body parts, including your neck, shoulders, and knees. There’s even a heat pack for your lower tummy, which might be useful when period cramps decide to ruin your day.

Prices start from just $7.90, making them affordable additions to your self-care stash.

Pro tip: These heat packs can also double up as travel companions for your next winter getaway to Hokkaido or skiing trip at a ski resort in China, where you’ll want all the warmth you can get.

Keep a lookout for buy-1-get-1-free deals

Before heading to the cashier, remember to check out the shelves nearby for promotions you might otherwise miss. When we visited, there was a buy-1-get-1-free deal on skincare masks.

For instance, the GUYU Centella Edelweiss Repairing Hydrating Mask retails for $5.90/piece. With the promotion, you’ll get 2 masks for $5.90, bringing the cost down to just $2.95/piece.

Visit SkinSha to discover underrated C-beauty brands

There are over 60 brands to browse, including celebrity-endorsed products and wallet-friendly deals, so you might just find your next holy grail without having to fly to China for it.

The staff also shared that SkinSha is opening another outlet at Northpoint City by the end of 2026. Northies, looks like you’ll have a new beauty stop to check out soon.
