Save our Street Dogs (SOSD) is a non-profit organization focusing on the welfare of stray dogs in Singapore. They were founded in July 2011 and will be holding their first ever flag day on 10th November 2013 to help raise funds so they can continue their operations.
With the publicity that SOSD has been getting in recent times, they are now seen as the first point of contact for any dog in need of help in Singapore. As such their operational costs and monthly expenses have increased exponentially.
They hope to be able to build a new sanctuary for their shelter dogs and other dogs that may need attention in future. SOSD relies only on ad-hoc donations from the public to sustain its operating costs, consisting mainly of rescue work, veterinary bills and the boarding of the dogs at Pasir Ris Farmway 2.
They have decided to carry out a Flag Day on 10th Nov 2013 at *Scape as their headquarters. There will be several activities happening on that day such as:
The highlight of the event is that SOSD will be taking the shelter dogs out to Orchard Road (between Tanglin Mall to Plaza Singapura) to allow public to meet them face-to-face and let give them a chance to thank the public for their kind donation made on that day.
Be there!
