Singapore Doctors Run 500km+ For Hope – Registration closes on 21st October

Run for Hope 2013

NCCS doctors and researchers have banded together to help raise awareness for the upcoming fundraising Run For Hope – to be held on 17th November 2013 at The Promontory @ Marina Bay. This group, which also includes doctors based in New York and London will be recording their distances via a Runkeeper mobile app. The group aims to collectively run over 500km over 2 weeks.

We recently went down to have a chat with some of the doctors to find out how they got involved and what they hope the run achieves. Most of them were spurred on by their desire to help find a cure for their patients, through cancer research.

As everyone probably knows someone dear to them who has been affected by Cancer, they hope to see more people getting actively involved and helping to support this cause. NCCS had recently made some major breakthroughs in Nose Cancer treatment thanks to their research.

We can always live in hope that more cures and treatments will be found. Let’s run for something meaningful this November.

Check out this short video we filmed when we caught up with the Doctors during one of their runs at East Coast Park.
