RAVE4CAKE Is SG’s First Cake Rave, Get 3 Slices Of Cake & A Matcha While You Doomzi Doomzi

RAVE4CAKE

When I first heard that a cake rave was going to happen in Singapore, I was a little too stunned to speak. But with the rise of sober raves in the last year or so, is this truly surprising? Come April, RAVE4CAKE will be Singapore’s first-ever cake rave, with all the matcha, coffee, and hot chocolate to wash each slice down your throats.

What is RAVE4CAKE?

As its name suggests, RAVE4CAKE is a daytime rave on 11th April organised by the folks at Better Say Yess, and the whole afternoon from 2pm-6pm is centred around cake. Not just any cake, mind you – there will be 6 bakeries bringing their best bakes to the venue, and ravers will get to taste and vote on the best cake.

So come hungry, as the bakeries – Mess With Butter, Honey Peach Bakery, LELE Bakery, Sugar Wonders, Vic Baker, and Yoyosummer – are all competing for the title in this inaugural cake rave. Your ticket gets you 3 slices of cake of your choice, so you can probably bring a rave bae with you and get a slice from each of the 6 bakeries to share.

Holding down the decks are 3 DJs who know how to keep a room moving: x1ncity, NOLA, and ZENx. Expect a set that moves through baile funk, tech house, drums and bass, and R&B across the afternoon. Because what comes before cake? The rave.

What else can you do at RAVE4CAKE?

Your $30 ticket to RAVE4CAKE already comes loaded before the music starts. The first 100 people through the doors get a free drink of either a ceremonial matcha, an artisanal coffee, or a hot chocolate. If you’re making a fashionably-late entrance, don’t fret, as the baristas from KOKO Cafe & Patisserie will still be serving up beverages for you to sip on.

Beyond the cake and drinks, there’s also a photobooth at the venue, where you can snap a memory of your cake raving afternoon and bring home a photo souvenir. Every ticket also comes with a customised bag charm as a door gift, so you have plenty of things to remember this day by, even after the last track drops.

If you’re planning to show up early and queue up, as all Singaporeans love to do, there’s an extra perk for being the first in line: the first 20 people to arrive at Coliwoo Midtown for RAVE4CAKE will get a mystery box on top of all the cake and matcha. We don’t know what’s inside – it’s a mystery after all – but judging by the other gifts and goodies, it’d be worth it.

Have your cake and eat it too at RAVE4CAKE

Dessert lovers can finally let loose at RAVE4CAKE, the first cake rave in Singapore. Early bird tickets are all sold out, which leaves the rest of us with General Admission tickets that are $30 a pop. But with all the inclusions with each ticket – 3 slices of cake, a free drink, door gifts and photobooth strips – this might be one of the most worth-it sober raves to attend.
