Puteri Harbour: JB’s Quayside Isle 20-Min From Tuas Checkpoint With Seaside Restaurants & Ferry Rides

Puteri Harbour in JB

Since the Causeway reopened, many of us Singaporeans have crossed over for shopping, affordable food, and massages. What most don’t know about though, is that there’s a bougie quayside isle that is JB’s answer to Sentosa Cove just 20 minutes away from Tuas Checkpoint. Enter: Puteri Harbour.

The destination has seaside restaurants for a meal, hotels at affordable prices, activities such as tennis and rock climbing, and also a ferry terminal with ferries that travel to Indonesia. So naturally, we went to kaypoh to find out why you should make your way there for your next weekend jaunt.

Family-friendly destination

Similar to Quayside Isle in Sentosa, Puteri Harbour is a family-friendly destination filled with activities for both parents and young ones.

Over at ONE°15 Estuari Sports Centre, you can find sports facilities such as indoor and outdoor tennis courts for RM40/session (~S$11.44), a martial arts studio for RM30/session (~S$8.58), an Olympic-size swimming pool for swimming classes (RM35/person, ~S$10.02), and even a rock wall.

For all the aunties and uncles who love morning exercises coupled with untz untz beats, join their Zumba sessions for free if you’re a member. But classes are also open to the public at just RM30/pax (~S$8.58).

At sunset, take your kids out for a stroll around the quayside so you can snap chio pics for the ‘Gram and make sweet memories while you’re at it.

IG-worthy seaside restaurants

Puteri Harbour is also a place where you can wine and dine in style. There are a plethora of restaurants with various types of cuisines to suit your fancy.

Chomp down a Messi Burger for RM55 (~S$15.73) stuffed with beef, cheese, chorizo, red onions, smoky sauce, lettuce, tomato, and a fried egg, paired with a beer while catching live band performances at Hard Rock Cafe Puteri Harbour, or get the group together for Indian fusion food at Spice Grill.

Those sticking to a healthy diet can enjoy refreshing cold-pressed juices, smoothie bowls, and mocktails at Caribbean Juice Bar. Serving Bali vibes, it’s a carefree beach bar where everything on the menu is vegan-friendly.

Not to mention, it’s located in an old shipping container with rattan decor and pretty wooden furnishings – very boho chic.

Hotels & ferry terminal

From here, there are 2 options: stay the night or hop on a ferry to Indonesia. There are various JB hotels to stay at, such as Pulai Springs Resort (from RM99/night, ~S$30.90) or Ibis Styles Johor Iskandar Puteri (from RM179/night, ~S$51).

You can find out more about the pricing and schedule on the Putri Anggreni website.
