We all know the struggle of finding the perfect spot to study. It has to be conducive enough for laser-focus mugging, allows food, and somewhere you can hog the table for hours without the staff giving you the side-eye.
Project Central is a 3-in-1 co-working space that fits the bill. Not only is it great for getting work done, they even have board games for when you and your friends just wanna take a break.
But that isn’t all. The space doubles up as an event space, where you can book the entire place to host parties, workshops, and meetings – all starting from a super affordable $1.25 an hour. Intrigued, we went to check the place out for ourselves:
Tucked away in Hougang, the co-working space boasted a sleek, Scandi aesthetic with pops of colour. It went beyond good looks, too – the seats were comfortable enough to linger on for hours at a time and those with laptops with a poor battery life will be delighted there’re power outlets at each table.
Choose from 3 different tables sizes here – Cosy 2, Cosy 4, and Cosy 7 which cater to groups of 2, 4 and 7 respectively.
Tip: We did the math. The booking fee gets more affordable the longer you stay.* So feel free to camp out the whole day!
*Based on per pax, per hour calculations.
Cosy 2 starts from just $9 for 2 hours, so grab a friend and get workin’.
Cosy 2 seats up to 2 – so grab a friend to settle into their funky-patterned chairs, or double your little group at Cosy 4. For bigger groups, go for Cosy 7 with its long wooden table. There’re even curtains to block out sunlight when it gets too glaring.

For those worried about your valuables when you leave the spot for a while, place your bags in the key access lockers provided. If you get thirsty, feel free to help yourself to the FREE bottles of mineral water too before getting to your seat.
If you have a presentation coming up, it’s best to conduct a rehearsal with your peers before the real deal with your professor or boss. At Cosy 7, you can use a smart TV to display your carefully planned out slides or videos as you deliver that award-winning pitch.
And after all that hard work, you might be feeling a lil’ hungry. So you’ll be glad to know that you’re more than welcome to bring your own tidbits at Project Central. You can even da bao your meals from the nearby Hougang Mall that’s just a 5-minute walk away.
Note: Be mindful of the kind of food you bring into Project Central – you don’t wanna distract others with strong-smelling food like durians!
Apart from comfy chairs and tables, Project Central offers board and card games so that you and your friends can hang out and have a proper catch-up sesh over drinks and games.
Yes, it’s time to find out where that gold piece at in Saboteur, or keep the island from sinking in Forbidden Island. There’re also games such as Avalon, Codenames and Ticket to Ride!
This co-working space isn’t just for work and play – it’s also a great place for a partay. You can host a party of 30 in the Project Studio. Anything goes when it comes to decorating the space, so of course we had to host our own lil’ party!
We transformed the Project Studio into our own mini summer-themed party – Havana, ooh-na-na vibes and all.
Bonus: Project Central doesn’t charge any additional fees for external catering services at all, so you can get your favourite restaurant’s food at your party if you like.
To add even more pizzazz to the party, you can have your very own movie screening, or even some cool videos of the birthday person doing embarrassing stuff. Enter Cosy 7’s projector, which turns the studio into a mini home theatre.
Just grab some snacks and dim the lights – and you’re all set for a movie marathon!
Thanks to Project Central, you’ll never have to squabble over a table in a cafe or a library to do your work again. The best part about this place is it’s versatility, too – work hard to cover those chapters for your exams, then reward yourself with a game or two with friends!
Besides, you won’t even have to pay for expensive lattes you don’t like just to secure your seat. Just book a spot by paying with PayPal, credit or debit cards.
You can check out the rates at Project Central’s website here or take a look at this lovely space for yourself through this virtual tour!
