There’s A Carnival At Orchard Road With Nostalgic Booth Games, Carousel & Choo Choo Train

Orchard Lunar Carnival 2024

Given the many things to do along Orchard Road, it’s no surprise that it is one of the most popular haunts amongst locals and tourists alike. Thrill junkies can get their adrenaline fix at joints like Trifecta, while those looking for something more chill can head over to places like ME Cafe & Games.

But if you’re looking for a kid-friendly activity, you’ll be glad to know that the Orchard Lunar Carnival 2024 is going on from now till 25th February. The whimsical rides will certainly entertain the little ones while the colourful game booths will evoke memories of classic arcades for the adults.

The carnival spans across the open walkway from Wisma Atria to Ngee Ann City.

Retro carnival rides like carousels & swings

While it might not necessarily share the sick views of scenic train rides in Asia, the Mini London Train is a leisurely, safe ride to amuse kids.

Other retro rides include the Flying Carpet, Royal Horse Carousel, and Clown Swing. These rides are all catered for children under 12 years of age but adults can accompany the little ones on the carousel.

Popular carnival games such as Ring Toss, Darts, and Lobster Pot are also available, should you wish to try snagging a plushie or 2 for bae. These are housed in whimsical circus tents, great for adding a splash of colour to your IG feed.

How much do the games cost to play?

Each game costs 6 credits to play, while 2 games cost 10 credits. These are available through the J’Kids Funcard, which can be purchased at the ticket booth right outside Takashimaya. Each card costs $10 and comes preloaded with 10 credits. These can then be topped up for more credits.
