No Man’s Land is an event organised by Inception Entertainment Pte Ltd, Chab Pte Ltd and theWYLDshop.com at Kyō catering to the ladies in town every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. It’s not just any other club, because you’re going to be in for a treat.
That’s right, these are the muscled hunks that will be serving you at Kyō throughout No Man’s Land. Other than these gorgeous boys, the whole club will be yours to have – with the other ladies, of course.
From 9pm to 11pm, you will enjoy a free flow of drinks, chocolates and sweets, served by the boys in tuxedo vests you see up there. More than that, you will also be pampered by masseuses, manicurists, make-up artists and many other services. And… Only when you are completely indulged will the men be allowed in for a night of partying and fun.
Beginning to feel a little excited about No Man’s Land? You ought to.
What’s a club without music? As you enter Kyō, music instantly forms the backdrop to the club. But this is no dingy club. You won’t have to adjust your eyes to dimmed lighting or tolerate loud music blasting away in your ears. Kyō emanates a rather stylish and sophisticated vibe, unlike many other sleazy clubs around.
Of course, we can’t miss out on the drinks! It’s true, the drinks were bottomless all the way till 11pm. They had Chardonnay, cranberry vodka and champagne ready by the glass. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try the champagne as they were only served in intervals.
There were make-up artists, manicurists and hairstylists as promised. There were even glitter tattoo services. Here’s a picture of Hevina getting her eyes made up! It sure did make us feel like princesses, with all the pampering going on.
It isn’t all that glorious though. The queue for the manicure was so long that we had to give it a miss. But being able to soak in this atmosphere more than made up for that!
Now I thought this was pretty cool. There was actually tarot card reading at No Man’s Land! It’s definitely a way to spice up the night, whether you believe in it or not. I took my advice with a pinch of salt.
The two ladies there were the masseuses for the night. By the time Hevina and myself got around to having our back massages, it was pretty late into the night, and that’s probably why I didn’t really get a kick out of it. But we can’t blame them, it must have been really tiring to have customers streaming in one after another!
Here’s another picture of Hevina browsing through the selection of clothing at the boutique. But as far as boutiques go… Well, they are generally expensive.
This was the selection of sweet treats available at the counters. I have to say that I really liked the cereal pebbles (pardon me, I have no idea what those amazing stuff is called). They were probably stuck together by melted marshmallow. Again, they come at free flow. So eat and drink away to your hearts’ content, ladies!
It’s almost illegal to miss out talking about the dance floor. It was a pretty compact space. But at No Man’s Land from 9pm to 11pm, they had a group of dance instructors there to teach you some West Coast Swing. I had a go at it and I failed badly, but it’s okay, because we all just want to have fun! Just go along with the beat, and let your hair down.
If you love the exclusivity of no men in the club, go to Kyō. The men can come in later. Hevina and I had a really pampered night at Kyō. Note that the crowd here is catered more to people in their early to late twenties. Youngsters would prefer partying in the dark slums and booming music of other clubs.
But hey, if you want to be treated like a queen or princess for at least one night, go down to Kyō! It’s always fun to meet new people. Do your hair and your nails, get some drinks. Just enjoy yourself and have an amazing time.
It’s ladies night after all, right?
