We’re already well into the second half of 2025, and yet the hype surrounding POP MART’s cult-favourite characters still has a stranglehold on our wallets. For the month of August, the spotlight will be shining on the beloved Molly, as she’ll take centre stage in the new MEGA SPACE MOLLY: Hello, Moon Exhibition.
Happening in the heart of the CBD, visitors will get a glimpse of rare, supersized figurines of Molly in her iconic spacesuit will be on display; some of them available for purchase only at this exhibition. Here’s all you need to know about this out-of-this-world installation:
The MEGA SPACE MOLLY: Hello, Moon Exhibition will be held from now till 24th August 2025, 10am to 10pm daily, at the ION Art Gallery on Level 4 of ION Orchard. Entry is free, and like its name suggests, the space exploration themed-exhibition stars Molly, who’s proudly donned in her various intricately-designed spacesuits.
Of course, the main centrepieces of the entire exhibition are the 2 MEGA SPACE MOLLY figurines that greet visitors near the entrance. One comes in a 400% size ($579.90) that’s about 30cm tall, while the 1,000% sized ($1,799.90) figure stands at a whopping 70cm tall. These will only be available for purchase through a raffle which you can enter by scanning a QR code at the exhibition.
Also up for grabs is the 1/8 scale Hello, Moon Action Figure ($89.90) whose joints and eyes are all adjustable. If you can’t get enough of the wide-eyed astronomer, other accessories such as rugs ($249.90), ambient lamps ($389.90), and even a trio of skate decks ($1,199.90) that form a graffiti-styled artwork when placed next to each other are available too.
Further in, there’s a section where you can admire various illustrations of Molly as she explores the cosmos. Don’t forget to tune in to the animated short that’s projected on a nearby wall; it’s the brainchild of local artist Oh Jia Hao, better known as Lioncolony, and depicts Molly strutting her stuff in the dreamy expanse of space.
Of course, it wouldn’t be an authentic POP MART experience if visitors didn’t get the chance to rip open a blind box or 2. You can pick up 3 different kinds at the exhibition, the MEGA SPACE MOLLY 100% Series 2 and 3, as well as the MEGA SPACE MOLLY 100% x emoji Series, each retailing at $18.90.
Cap off your visit by snapping a pic with the array of rare Molly figures pulled from the archives. Strike a pose beside collab pieces between POP MART and famous artists and brands; some to look out for in particular include this one modelled after Stitch, as well as other beloved characters like Chopper from One Piece.
Fans of Molly, you won’t want to miss the MEGA SPACE MOLLY: Hello, Moon Exhibition if you want a chance to snag some of the character’s most exclusive figures. What’s more, it’s completely FOC, so when you need a break from your shopping spree at ION Orchard, feel free to duck into this astronomical exhibition for an impromptu museum date.
