If you’re out of ideas for things to do this weekend, gather your friends or family and head to ME Cafe & Games’ newest and biggest outlet yet, located in Chinatown. Spanning 6,000sqft with tons of games to choose from, you’ll easily lose track of time, hopping from one challenge to the next. We went down to check it out, and here’s what you can expect.
In case you haven’t heard, ME Cafe & Games is a gaming and hangout spot in Singapore with a full suite of physical, digital, and console games. The brand already has existing outlets in Orchard and Tanjong Pagar, but its newest branch has just opened in Chinatown.
ME Cafe & Games’ new Chinatown outlet is its most interactive one yet. We felt like we were transported to an amusement park upon stepping in, but one that’s AI-themed, thanks to its futuristic interior filled with neon lights, sleek black floors, interactive projection walls, and glowing frames.
Venture further in and you’ll find zones clearly marked out by coloured LEDs and digital signage. Here, you’ll get to experience over 30 physical and digital games to help you sweat it out. While we won’t be covering all of them in this article, these are some must-try activities you shouldn’t miss:
Growing up, we’ve all had a canon childhood moment of leaping across sofas and coffee tables, pretending the floor was “lava” in our living rooms. Now, you can relive that memory for real at ME Cafe & Games – their Floor is Lava game offers a real-life experience of your childhood game, in a more colourful and high-tech way than what we used to pull off at home.
There’s even a Squid Game-inspired level that adds an exciting twist using interactive prompts and timed challenges. You’ll need to step on the blue lights to earn points, then quickly land on the green lights to stay safe from elimination, just like in the series. If you step out of the green line, the light beneath you will turn red, costing you valuable points.
This makes the game more creative and challenging compared to the classic Floor is Lava version. To play, simply select your preferred mode, ranging from “leisure” to “challenge”, before stepping into the arena.
There’s also the Digital Archery Machine that lets you pretend you’re a character from Alice in Borderland – minus the life-or-death stakes, of course. Pick up a bow and arrow, then take aim.
It’s fully automated too – once you’re done, just press a button, and the target face will automatically make its way to you, letting you collect your bows and jump straight into a new game.
Step into the Console Pods for a quieter and cosier gaming experience – they are open booths equipped with Nintendo Switch consoles and ambient lighting for a comfortable gaming experience. There are 6 pods in total, and games include classics like Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Overcooked! 2.
Once inside, you’ll notice how comfy and spacious the setup is – there’s plenty of legroom to relax while gaming. You can also binge your favourite shows on Netflix – it’s already linked to the TV, so all you have to do is log in to your own account.
Anyone with an entry pass can use the pods, and kids are welcome, but those under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. While there isn’t a specific time limit, it’s best to make room for others who might be queuing, as staff may ask you to give way during peak hours.
Get ready to break a sweat – and maybe a little friendly rivalry – at the Cycling Competition station. It’s like a spin class, but way more fun because you’re actually racing your friends. There are 4 cycling stations, perfect if you’re coming in a group of 4 and want to go head-to-head.
As you cycle, your points rack up in real time, and the coolest part is that you’ll see a 3D avatar of your cyclist zipping around the digital track on screen.
Turn the heat up by challenging your friends in a game of Duel Ball – best played in a 2-player versus 2-player setting. There are icons on the screen behind your opponent, which you have to target by throwing mini balls.
Depending on where the ball lands, the icon will show you how many points you’ve gained. Your opponent has to prevent you from scoring points by blocking the balls from attacking the screen.
Beyond the games we’ve already mentioned, there are many more to try, like AI Projector Gaming, which turns the floor beneath you into an interactive playground, a Team Basketball Challenge for those who love some friendly competition, and a Racing Simulator for adrenaline junkies.

After all that action, take a breather and relax with a Han Embroidery workshop, where you’ll learn all about the traditional craft, which originated from Wuhan, China. You’ll get to try your hand at delicate needlework and create elaborate designs.
Beginners are welcome – you’ll be guided by Chen Minlu, a skilled disciple of a Han embroidery master who has studied intricate works like Nine-Headed Bird and Ancient Yellow Crane Tower – both known for being highly intricate pieces in Han embroidery.
The activity space is currently under construction, but will officially open for booking from 15th November 2025. Prices will be announced closer to the opening date.
If you have a birthday or celebration coming up, ME Cafe & Games also offers party packages. You can book per person at $12/hour from Monday to Thursday, and $15/hour from Friday to Sunday. Or go big and reserve the entire venue for $1,200/hour from Monday to Thursday, and $1,500/hour from Friday to Sunday. Both options let you host up to 100 guests, so everyone can join in on the fun.
Those not planning a party have 2 types of tickets to choose from: an Hourly Pass and a Whole Day Pass. Take note that the Whole Day Pass is not available on Saturday, public holidays, and the eve of public holidays.
Hourly Pass rates:
| Ticket Type | Mon-Thu | Fri-Sun & Public Holiday | Access Type |
| Hourly Pass | $12/pax | $15/pax | Unlimited access to all zones |
Whole Day pass rates:
| Ticket Type | Mon-Thu | Fri & Sun | Access Type |
| Whole Day Pass | $58/pax | $68/pax | Unlimited access to all zones |
These tickets give you unlimited access to all zones and games. But during peak hours, you may have to queue at the front desk for activities like the Console Pod. Ticket rates are the same for adults and kids between 2 and 10 years old, but those under 10 need to be accompanied by an adult.
If you’re looking for a sci-fi arcade experience, plan a visit to ME Cafe & Games’ newest Chinatown outlet to hang out with friends or family, and enjoy a weekend full of games and excitement.
Even better, the outlet is just a 5-minute walk from Chinatown MRT, making it super convenient to get there.
