Calling all Potterheads – there is a new magical hideout just across the border. Latte Doh Cafe has opened its doors as the first-ever Harry Potter-themed cafe in JB, bringing an enchanting experience filled with spellbinding decor and wizard-inspired food and drinks. Plus, located just 15 minutes from the checkpoint, it makes for a fuss-free and exciting day trip for anyone looking to experience the magic.
The current exchange rate is RM1 = ~S$0.30 as of 12th February 2025.
Nestled in Taman Damansara Aliff, Latte Doh Cafe is a Muslim-owned establishment that has gone all out to bring the magic to life.
The interior is decked out with everything Harry Potter fans would hope to see – from floating books and bubbling cauldrons to Hogwarts house-themed doors in the signature colours of Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff.
One of the best spots to snap a photo is the dedicated wall featuring portraits of iconic characters, including Hagrid, Professor Dumbledore, and Draco Malfoy. Next to it, you’ll find a life-sized “Wanted” box where you can hop into and channel your inner fugitive witch – perfect for a cheeky photo op.
Another highlight that will get you deep into character is the potion-making corner. There are shelves lined with vials of mysterious liquids and a cauldron ready for some spell-casting fun – props for you to pretend you’re whipping up your own mysterious brew. On the other side of the room, you can even try on the Sorting Hat and find out once and for all which Hogwarts house you truly belong to.
No wizarding experience is complete without a sip of Butterbeer. Latte Doh Cafe puts its own spin on the classic with the Butter Drink, alongside other magical concoctions such as Avada Kedavra and Polyjuice Potion, all priced at RM13. Coffee lovers can also get their fix with the Buttercreme Latte (RM15), a rich and creamy alternative.
If you’re planning on bringing your BB here on Valentine’s Day, go full nerd mode as you share a cup of In Love (RM13) from their Love Potion Series.

Those with a sweet tooth can check out their selection of cookies named and coloured after the 4 houses – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw – for RM12.90 each.

If you’re feeling peckish after all that photo-taking, there are also hearty dishes such as Mac and Cheese (RM15.90) and Chicken Chop (RM21.90). Beyond Western cuisine, the cafe serves up Asian fare like Korean Soy Garlic Chicken (RM26.90) too.
Whether you’re a die-hard Potterhead or just someone who enjoys a themed café experience, Latte Doh Cafe is a magical spot worth checking out. With its immersive decor, fun photo ops, and wizard-inspired menu, it’s the perfect place to bring your Hogwarts fantasy to life without the long journey to London.
