Every weekend, most malls in Singapore are filled to the brim with shoppers and people hanging out – all of whom obviously seek respite from the heat outside. The newly-opened KINEX mall isn’t any different, except that it also seems to be buzzing with people heading for dance classes, workouts and a good ol’ coffee sesh.
Previously known as OneKM Shopping Mall, the newly-revamped KINEX easily oozes community vibes with chill-out corners, lots of eateries, and spaces for pop-up stores and events that are ever-changing.
Here are 5 new shops at KINEX to check out:
Big breakfasts, pastas, coffee and cakes – Kith Cafe has brunch vibes going strong. You can get a hearty Better Than Benny ($15.90) which comes with two jiggly poached eggs atop crispy bacon, kale and sourdough bread. For something sweet, head for their House-made Pancakes ($14.90) which has caramelised maple butter sauce that’s worth a try.
The cafe has a play corner for the kiddos
Brunch menu aside, they have an array of western staples, like pastas, pizzas, sandwiches and mains like Chicken Parmigiana ($24.90) and Fish & Chips (19.90). If you’re just here to wind down, check out their selection of Kith Blend speciality coffees (from $4) and indulge in some dessert like their House Made Tiramisu ($7.90).
The cafe isn’t hard to miss. It sits right in the middle of the mall’s atrium and is instantly noticeable with its bright yellow sign. There’s even a corner for the kiddos to play, and meeting rooms complete with white boards that you can rent with a minimum spend of $100.

The first thing you’ll notice about Tonkin is its modern interior that’s decked out in woody tones and dotted with green accents. Their menu is whole-heartedly Vietnamese, and you won’t find any dish above $10 here.
Pho Tai
Their Pho Tai costs just $8.80, for a bowl of rice noodles topped with soft medium-rare slices of beef. You can also get other classics like Tom Goi Cuon (shrimp rice paper rolls) for $3.90 and Bun Ga Nuong (lemongrass chicken vermicelli) for $7.90.
Don’t forget to try their authentic Vietnamese Egg Coffee ($5.80), made using traditional Vietnamese coffee filters. Its froth is made with egg whites for a rich, creamy finish.

Their pop-up store area is a haven for fashion accessories
Revamped from its former days as OneKM Shopping Mall, KINEX has taken on an array of new lifestyle outlets. Self-enrichment classes like art and dance are aplenty, while cafes and restaurants are there for your chill-out needs.
Take a pic for the ‘gram at the swing at the mall entrance
Look out for their dedicated pop-up store area at the ground floor, which is filled with fashionable trinkets and quirky home decor items. Don’t miss the little artsy accents around the mall either, like the staircase at the entrance that’s covered in colourful graphics. You’ll have plenty of activities to keep your days filled.
