West siders will be pleased to know that the Jurong East Sport Centre has finally partially opened its swimming complex after a massive revamp. You and your little ones can now enjoy upgraded facilities, such as kiddy pools and a brand new splash pad.
That’s not all, the sports centre has also refreshed its fitness gym and has even added a pop of colour with an art mural along its corridor.
The Jurong East Sport Centre first opened in 2000 and was the 1st public pool to offer a lazy river, wave pool, and multi-spiral water slides at affordable prices. Renovations have been ongoing since early 2025 to bring you upgraded facilities, including an open-field stadium and air-conditioned sports hall that were refreshed and opened to the public last year.
But most recently, the swimming complex has been revamped to be more inclusive and safe for young children. There’s also an expanded fitness gym for you to sweat it out. Here are some of the newest offerings you can look forward to at the revamped sports centre:
Fans of the multi-storey spiral slides might be disappointed seeing them gone; however, the new splash pads and kiddy pools have been spruced up to make up for it.
At the time of writing, the competition lap pools are still closed for renovations until the end of 2026. If you’re looking for a pool to get those laps in, you might want to consider the ActiveSG Park at Jurong Lake Gardens instead.
With mini slides, a spider feature fountain, and a rotating water bucket for that bit of unexpected splash, the new Splash Pad that has taken over where the spiral slides used to be is sure to provide your little ones with lots of fun.
Kiddos can play a game of pretend pirate using the water jets, or simply stand under the many fountain features to cool off.
The swimming complex now offers 2 new kiddy pools, so even your babies can enjoy some time in the water.
The pool for babies has a depth of 0.35m, perfect for getting them adjusted to the water. Toddlers and young children can enjoy the marine-themed pool instead, which has a depth of 0.5m. It features slides, water jets, and interactive climbing structures centred on marine animals – young ones will have a splashing good time being transported into their very own marine adventure.

Although not new, those looking to simply cool off in the afternoon soon can relax by floating around the Lazy River with one of the free floats available. Circling the wave pool, the river has a comfortable 0.8m depth, complemented by water curtain features and jets for that little bit of surprise every now and then.

The iconic Wave Pool is still serving up waves at the swimming complex. With the pool reaching up to 1.8m in depth, make sure to grab a float before heading in and let the waves transport you to the ocean without you having to even go there.
Before you head down, you will have to first purchase an entry pass through the ActiveSG website.
As the Jurong East Swimming Complex features pools with water slides, you will have to select the Feature Pools option when booking your tickets. Prices start from as low as $0.80 on weekdays and up to $2.00 on weekends. After purchasing your ticket, a QR code will be generated for you to scan during entry and exit.

The swimming complex isn’t the only glow-up at Jurong East Sport Centre.
Gym-goers might have already noticed the revamped Jurong East ActiveSG Gym. With more space to move around, the gym now offers a wider range of equipment, including weights and machines, for you to get your gains in.
Similar to the pool, you will have to purchase an entry pass via the ActiveSG website before heading down. Gym passes are priced at $1.50 for students and seniors, and $2.50 for adults.
The centre now also boasts its very own art mural, featuring a mix of athletes and sports you can try at the sports complex. The vibrant sight is hard to miss since it is located right at the main entrance, getting you pumped before you even step inside.
You might think it’s a bit random to feature the toilets in a sports centre, but hear us out – the ones at Jurong East Sport Centre have been refurbished to feature a brighter interior.
Beyond the renovated toilets and shower areas in the swimming complex, toilets around the sports centre have been spruced up with a more modern look. Not only do they have better ventilation, but they’re also noticeably cleaner, which makes all the difference when you’re rinsing off an intense workout or conducting business number 2 on the throne. We’ve also noticed that some cubicles, particularly those along the stadium, do have bidets.
If you’re planning to arrive by train, the nearest station is the Chinese Garden MRT Station – a 17-minute walk from the complex.
For those considering the bus, the nearest bus stops are Blk 347 and Blk 316, with services 98, 98M, 99, 157, 185, 187, 198, 198A, 333, 334, 502, 657, and 872 getting you there.
The sports centre also has parking available for those intending to drive down. If parking is full, there is also a public multi-storey car park at Yuhua Place Market and Hawker Centre. Both options cost $0.60 for every 30 minutes, capped at $12.
With a variety of other facilities, such as an open field stadium, futsal pitch, and air-conditioned sports hall where you can have a round of table tennis or pickleball, the Jurong East Sport Centre is an all-in-one sports complex. Do note that certain facilities, such as the futsal pitch and sports hall, have to be booked in advance, which you can do so via the ActiveSG website.
While there are no F&B options at the sports centre itself, beverages such as MILO and 100plus can be found at the many vending machines around the centre. For those looking for a meal after their workout, Yuhua Place Market and Hawker Centre is located right across the street, featuring a wide variety of independent F&B options alongside the usual hawker fare.
So if you’re ready to plan your next family day out or are simply looking for ways to cool off in Singapore’s heat, check out the Jurong East Sport Centre.
