With year-round summer temperatures and the lack of chimneys in our homes, Singaporeans can’t really relate to typical Christmas icons like snowmen and Santa Claus landing on the roof.
IMM is flipping the script this year with familiar tropical wonders like guided butterfly aviary walks, a scorpion cave, and parrot shows. Happening 10th to 23rd December, 12PM to 9PM, here are some highlights to look forward to at Flutter Of Wonder for the wildest Christmas yet.
Venture into the wild side of life at IMM’s Flutter Of Wonder exhibit at the Level 3 Garden Plaza.
To redeem a pair of entry tickets, just spend a minimum of $80 (or $60 if charged to American Express CapitaCard) from now till 23rd December. Up to 3 same-day receipts can be combined. One redemption per shopper per day. Limited tickets available.
Make your way through a Butterfly Aviary where you can get up close and personal with more than 100 butterflies.
Keep your eyes peeled for the 5 different species fluttering about freely, including our national butterfly – the Common Rose.
Note: The Butterfly Aviary may be closed due to inclement weather.
Check out some badass scorpions over at The Scorpion Cave without having to venture into an actual desert or risk falling victim to their pincers.
The butterfly and scorpion exhibits will be part of a guided tour (20 min for butterflies and 10 min for scorpions) so you can pick up fascinating tidbits of information about these stunning creatures.
Don’t miss out on the Parrot Show, where admission is free. Marvel at the colourful beauties as they swoop majestically and perform a trick or two.

Immersing yourself in nature is said to boost your artistic tendencies, so let your creative juices flow at the activity stations.
Try your hand at leaf craftwork and postcard-making with preserved butterfly wings, get your face painted, or snap up a storm at the instant photo booth.
