This Huge Pet Cafe In JB Has Fluffy Maine Coons & Corgis To Cuddle For A Day Of Animal Therapy

HOME by Tales of Paws pet cafe in Johor Bahru

We’ve got some pretty good pet cafes in Singapore such as What The Pug or the Meomi Cat Cafe at Bugis, but HOME by Tales of Paws in Johor Bahru is on another level. This massive pet cafe isn’t just 2-storeys high, but it’s also home to an array of gorgeous breeds of cats and dogs such as Bernese Mountain Dogs, Old English Sheepdogs, Maine Coons, and Bengals.

So, the next time you’re making a trip across the border and need some floofy cuddles, here’s why you should check it out:

Big, fluffy dogs with big energy

Who let the big dawgs out? You can play with these friendly doggos on the first floor of the cafe.

It’s rare for us Singaporeans to see or spend time with a lot of big dogs, unless we live near a neighbourhood with landed houses. Over at Tales of Paws cafe, rest assured that you’re going to get your fill of big dog cuddles, and then some.

Fans of the big breeds can look forward to meeting a massive Alaskan Malamute, a couple of majestic Bernese Mountain dogs, some fluffy Old English Sheepdogs, and even an elegant Afghan Hound. There are also Corgis you can cuddle but make sure to come earlier in the day if you’re just there for them.

Whether you’re tired out from playing with doggos downstairs or you’re just more of a cat person, you’ll be able to appreciate the much calmer second floor. It helps that the decor is aesthetic and zen to the max, with ample space for visitors to lounge around alongside the resident kitties.

You’ll find some exquisite cat breeds here too, like fluffy Maine Coons, Ragdolls, and Bengal cats that not many Singaporeans might’ve had the opportunity to encounter. They even have a wall of polaroids of the feline friends, each with their name labelled so you can try to call them over if the pspsps technique fails you.

A luxurious living space isn’t all these lovable creatures get to enjoy here – they even have their own private pool. Visitors can also buy some presents for their own furbabies back home in the in-house supply store that has treats, toys, and just about anything they might need.

You’ve also got to treat yourself to the cafe’s food and desserts as well – they have a rather extensive menu. They’ve got light bites like their Cheese Takoyaki (RM11.90, ~S$3.47) and mains like their Signature TomYam Kung Pasta (RM28.90, ~S$8.43) if you’re feeling hungry after a day of playing with them.

If you’ve already been to the cat and dog cafes in Singapore but can’t get enough, consider making a day trip across the border. It’s just a 5-minute drive from KSL City Mall so those familiar with the area would know how accessible this makes HOME by Tales of Paws.

But, be prepared to fork out a little more cash than you would at the average Singapore pet cafe – the cat cafe tickets start at RM68 for 90 minutes (~S$19.67) and the dog cafe tickets from RM98 for 90 minutes (~S$28.57). However, the experience will be worth the price as well as the trip down.
