When October rolls around, we know it’s time for spooky ghost tales, witch flicks, and, not to mention, revisiting your childhood school trip nightmares at Haw Par Villa. We don’t know about you, but Haw Par Villa is the OG screamfest that still gives us chills down our spines. This year, they’re sending ghostly greetings to horror junkies with their second Halloween comeback: Haw-Ror Villa 2.
Whether you’re a Haw Par Villa virgin or not, enter the gates of hell this Halloween after hours, hit up 2 parties, and browse through a market with activities. Here’s what to expect this Halloween season from 27th-29th October:
Hell’s Museum opens till 6pm daily on regular days.
For the Haw Par Villa virgins, you should know that this bizarre yet informative museum educates you about Asian mythology and culture based on ancient Chinese folklore and Buddhist texts – and it’s the stuff of nightmares.
Now, how do you feel about visiting the creepy underworld in the dark during the spooky season? If that sounds fun for a daredevil like you, try going into Hell’s Museum After Hours, that’s happening for 3 nights from 27th-29th October. For an eerie experience, drag your daring friends to get in the museum once the sun is down from 7pm until midnight.
You can expect Chinese’s legit-looking funerals, deities, and sculptures- all made creepier at the fact you’re there after sundown. To prep yourself, remember to read more about Hell’s Museum before you go. General admission for early bird tickets is $20 for adults and $12 for youngsters aged 7–12.
P.S. The museum is unpleasantly weird and creepy; hence, pregnant women and those who get heart attacks at the sight of Chucky will have to skip this one.
Not up for an extreme adrenaline rush this year but don’t want to miss out on the Halloween season? We got you. Head over to The Sixth Milestone at Shaman’s Market for tons of activities and to shop for Halloween-themed items.

There are a bunch of pop-up merchants that will be there selling everything from cake pops to tarot card reading services to local businesses that sell candles or jewellery like PoppyXCrafts, which sells spooky-themed home decor and handmade accessories.
There’s also a Halloween-themed puzzle hunt that’s free for all to join. The exciting puzzle hunt begins in Shaman’s Market, where you will be presented with a variety of puzzles and obstacles that will put your intelligence and resourcefulness to the test.
You don’t need an admission ticket to browse the market and join the puzzle hunt. Just head over from 3pm-11pm during any of the 3 days.
The Blackout Agency will take over Haw Par Villa as they bring the Blackout V9.0 party to the peak of the place for you to burn up the dance floor on the 28th October. After visiting the museum, stay a little longer and party with a few local and international DJs who will surely keep you on the dance floor from 9pm until 3am.
Tickets for this event are currently available for $52.80 per adult and $30.80 for students who get there before 10.30pm. All tickets, except student tickets, include 1 complimentary X-sparking drink (vodka liquor mixed with soda water).
If you’re early, you’ll get a chance to enjoy their 1-for-1 drinks promo from 9pm-11pm. Get your Blackout V9.0 tickets.
