Grand Prix Singapore 2022 Has Race-Themed Events Like Outdoor Cinemas, Racing Simulators & Live Performances

Grand Prix Singapore 2022

The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here: Grand Prix Season Singapore 2022 has landed. If watching some of the coolest cars speed, swerve, and race to the finish line sounds appealing to you, do not miss this.

Granted, tickets to the actual race might cost you the entire paycheck, but not all is lost. In fact, there’ll be a solid lineup of free race-themed events happening from 23rd Sep to 2nd Oct so you can still join in on all the fun.

Live performances & workshops

A slew of free shows and performances are coming to town starting 23rd Sep, so don’t sleep on it.

Orchard road will be in full concert mode, with singers belting out tracks while dancers bounce and whip around in unison. Watching alone is thrilling enough, but if you want to learn a move or two, sign up for the dance workshops and fitness classes at the Youth Park.

Over in Kampong Gelam, mural artists will walk you through painting a piece of wall art, all while swaying to the thumping beats blasting from the DJ console. If that didn’t sell you, there’ll also be epic dance battles and BMX bike tricks.

For those who are thinking of swinging by Clarke Quay during the Grand Prix season, please do. We heard the series of shows about to kick off at this hood will be worth your while. Some standouts on the lineup include aerial acrobatics, live DJ sets, and a fashion show.

Race-themed installations & events

Special events and occasions won’t be complete without some IG-worthy installations. And Formula One is no different.

Along Orchard road, expect to find giant race cars made from LEGO blocks and a DIY car contest using cardboard on display. Another massive Aston Martin F1 car replica can also be found in Clarke Quay and is a sight to see. Just be ready to brave the line and have your phone on standby for some serious ‘Gram spam.

In Sentosa, F1-themed events will also be in full swing. No life-sized car models have been announced but there’ll be a movie screening on the beach and Red Bull racing simulators. Climb into one of them and compete in order to score yourself a prize.

Festival grub & shopping booths

Music performances and dance shows, check. Frame-worthy race car installations, check. Food and shopping booths? Also check.

Grab a seat at the Central Beach Bazaar in Sentosa.

This year, Grand Prix Singapore will be bringing in over 100 vendors selling classic festival grub. There’ll be food trucks in Kampong Gelam, a Central Beach Bazaar in Sentosa, and a whole food fest at Lau Pa Sat. Let’s just say there’ll be ample opportunities for you to tuck into cheesy treats, snacks on sticks, and colourful sweets before cooling things down with some ice-cold drinks.

Apart from that, do yourself a favour and check out the
flea market at SCAPE, the retail corner at Design Orchard, and the shopping booths in Clarke Quay. You’ll be able to find everything from homeware and fashion to quirky knick-knacks.

Catch the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2022

Not gonna lie, but the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2022 will be one of the most soulful parties in town, complete with singers, dancers, chefs, mural artists, DJs – you name it.
