For quite some time now, Grab has been churning out more and more services to make life a little more convenient, whether it’s hailing rides, delivering items, getting food, or even eScooter sharing. In a bid to integrate 2 of its most-used services, GrabFood has now shifted over to the main Grab app.
This means that users no longer have to toggle between the 2 platforms. If you’re ordering food, all you have to do is open the main Grab app, click on “Food,” and order without being redirected to a separate app.
Note: GrabFood BETA will be rolled out nationwide on 2nd May 2019.
While it’s easy enough to access GrabFood on the main app, you can claim your hard-earned rewards and apply promo codes seamlessly. Likewise, keep track of all your transactions with an integrated order history that details your past trips and food orders.

GrabChat has also been upgraded, so you can communicate with your food delivery riders the same way you would with your Grab drivers – all on the same app. This also means more privacy for you, as you won’t have to use your personal mobile number to contact your delivery rider.
So if you need to make minor changes to your delivery location – like adding a unit number or changing which lobby you’re at – just use the chat icon or notes function to get in touch with your rider.
Payment is also pretty straightforward too. As GrabFood will be going cashless for now, just use the default payment on your Grab app. Simply key in your card details or top up your GrabPay Credits before placing an order.
As the old GrabFood app will be discontinued, head over to the main app for food deliveries from 2nd May 2019 onwards. You’ll be able to enjoy a convenient integrated platform and seamless payments and rewards for all your food cravings.
