This Festival At Redhill Has >70 Free Activities, Like Wheelchair Fencing & Blind Football For All To Try

Enabling Lives Festival 2026

If your weekend plans usually stop at brunch and a mall walk, the Enabling Lives Festival is a good excuse to go a little further. On 28th and 29th November 2026, the annual festival by SG Enable spills out of Enabling Village and into the Redhill neighbourhood, with more than 70 activities spread across Redhill MRT, a nearby plaza, and Delta Sport Centre.

Here’s the lobang: admission is free. You can get your portrait sketched live by artists with disabilities, try blind football with a ball you track by sound, or lock into a training wheelchair for a fencing bout. The idea is simple. Instead of reading about inclusion, you play, shop, and chat alongside persons with disabilities in spaces you already pass through.

What’s happening at Enabling Lives Festival 2026?

The festival starts before you even reach Enabling Village. ARTRA’s Festive Plaza, right next to Redhill MRT, hosts the pop-ups this year, so you can tick off a few activities straight off the train.

Get a free portrait sketched live at Portrait Café

At Portrait Café, 4 artists with disabilities sketch you while you chat, café-style. The line-up includes a Deaf artist and artists with ADHD, autism and cerebral palsy, each with their own drawing style.

You pick a conversation prompt off a “café menu”, and the chat happens through gestures, visual cues or whatever way of communicating suits each artist. Best part: the portrait is yours to keep, for free. With only 2 sessions a day, it’s worth turning up early.

Venue: ARTRA’s Festive Plaza, next to Redhill MRT
Date: 28th-29th Nov
Time: 12pm-1.30pm & 2.30pm-4pm
Admission: Free

Guiding Steps – Walk Redhill with a white cane & meet guide dogs

Run with Guide Dogs Singapore, this 1-hour route shows you what a familiar neighbourhood feels like with visual impairment. After a briefing at Redhill MRT, you pair up with a volunteer or another participant, learn how a white cane works, and put on special eyewear that simulates different kinds of vision loss.

The walk ends at Enabling Village with a twist: you guide your facilitators with visual impairment to the Cabana using what you just learnt. Along the way, you also get to meet guide dogs and their handlers.

Slots are limited, so sign up in advance.

Venue: Starts at Redhill MRT
Date: 28th-29th Nov

Try wheelchair fencing, blind football & inclusive pickleball at Delta Sport Centre

Over at Delta Sport Centre, para-sport coaches and Special Olympics athletes take you through adaptive sports you don’t usually get to try on a random Saturday. No experience needed for any of them.

If you’ve been eyeing the pickleball craze but never found a kaki to play with, here’s your chance. This 1-hour session covers the basics before you team up with Play Buddies of different abilities in a friendly doubles mini-game, with adaptive gameplay thrown in.

It’s open to beginners with and without disabilities, including families and caregivers. Do note you’ll need to move around the court on your own, so the session isn’t suitable for those who use a wheelchair or walker.

Venue: Pickleball court, Delta Sport Centre
Date: 28th-29th Nov Time: 2pm-3pm, 3pm-4pm & 4pm-5pm
Admission: Free, registration required

Blind football try-out

In Listen, Dribble, Score, facilitators show you how blind football players rely on sound, communication and spatial awareness. You’ll practise ball control, dribbling and shooting at goal with a ball that makes noise as it rolls.

Blindfolds may come into play, but the drills can be adjusted to your comfort level. Zero football skills needed, which is good news for those of us who peaked at primary school PE.

Venue: Delta Sports Hall, Delta Sport Centre
Date & time: 28th Nov 10am-1pm | 29th Nov 1pm-5pm
Admission: Free

Wheelchair para-fencing taster sessions

This is the one to bring your friends to. You sit in a real training wheelchair, get locked into Italian-made Olympic fencing frames that hold 2 wheelchairs in place, then cross blades in full protective gear.

Coaching comes from Alvin Teo, a former Team Singapore fencer and SEA Games medallist, and Chloe Chew, a para-fencer with the Singapore Community Para-Fencing Programme. Para-fencers from the programme also fence alongside first-timers.

Venue: Delta Sports Hall, Delta Sport Centre
Admission: Free, pre-registration required

Bocce try-out with Special Olympics athletes

Bocce is one of the core sports of the Special Olympics, and the rules are simple: roll or throw your ball as close as possible to a small target ball called the pallina. If you’ve played petanque on holiday, you’ll pick it up fast.

Special Olympics athletes teach you the basics before you jump into friendly games. This one runs on Sunday only.

Venue: Delta Sports Hall, Delta Sport Centre
Date: 29th Nov
Time: 1pm-5pm
Admission: Free

The show is designed for neurotypical and neurodivergent children aged 3-5, as well as persons with disabilities of any age whose developmental age is around 3-5. It’s in English.
