DBS PayLah! $3 cashback promo

DBS is back with their $3 cashback promo to support heartland businesses, and it certainly has us jumping for joy. After all, who would say no to free money credited right back into their PayLah! account?

It’s also a great way to support your neighbourhood retail stores, wet markets, hawker centres, and kopitiams. Plus, a good reason to be up and at ‘em early in the morning despite it being a weekend, since this promo takes place on Saturdays, and is limited to the first 160,000 redemptions per week, starting from 6am. Here’s how it works:

How to redeem up to $3 cashback every Saturday using DBS PayLah!

The promo is kicking off this weekend, on 29th August 2026, and will take place every Saturday all the way till 19th December 2026. That’s 17 Saturdays, which amounts to $51 worth of total cashback if you’re quick enough to snap up the full cashback amount every weekend throughout the promo period. Not shabby at all!

Bagging $3 of cashback every Saturday is simple. First, you’ll have to be registered as a DBS PayLah! user, and be able to use the app to make payments. That could mean linking your account to an existing DBS or POSB credit or debit card, or manually reloading the PayLah! digital wallet through a dedicated bank account.

If you haven’t already, download the DBS PayLah! app for iOS or Android and create your account for free.

Then, simply scan the QR code at these merchants to pay using PayLah!, and you will be credited up to $3 in cashback – provided your purchase is valued at $3 too. For purchases below $3, you will get cashback in the amount that you paid.

For instance, a $1.80 kopi peng will get you $1.80 in cashback accordingly. A $3 plate of economic beehoon will get you $3 in cashback. And for all purchases above $3, your cashback amount will be maxed out at $3.

What are the participating merchants for DBS’ $3 cashback promo?

To check whether a shop or food stall is eligible to get you the $3 cashback, keep a lookout for either the blue “POSB supports our heartland shops” sticker, or the red “Scan to pay with DBS PayLah!” sticker.

If you’d like to double-check the eligibility of a certain business before you even head down, you can do a quick CTRL + F search on DBS’ complete directory of participating merchants. There are over 14,000 merchants across the whole of Singapore!

Are there any limits to the PayLah! $3 cashback redemption?

Each Saturday during the promo period, 160,000 redemptions will be rolled out from 6am. You may think that such a high number of chances means you can take your time, but you’d be surprised how quickly they’ll all get snapped up.

In the previous edition of DBS’ cashback promo, it was common for redemptions to be gone by lunchtime. So if you’re thinking of sleeping in for the weekend, just remember that the early bird catches the free cashback worm!

The good thing is, you won’t have to wait with bated breath till the moment after you’ve made payment to see if you’re one of the lucky 160,000 people who made it in time. Just open the DBS PayLah! app, and if redemptions have run out for that particular Saturday, there’ll be a “fully redeemed” banner front and centre.

And of course, to give everyone a fair shot, the $3 cashback is limited to 1 redemption per PayLah! user. But there are no limits to how many weekly redemptions you can score throughout the promo period from now till December, so go ahead and wake up bright and early every Saturday till then.
