Children’s Garden At Gardens By The Bay Has Free Water Play & Tree Houses For Kiddos

Far East Organization Children’s Garden

Indoor playgrounds are cool, but if you’re truly hoping to empty the kiddos’ energy tanks, you’ll need to let them run rampant outdoors. One of the places to do that is the Far East Organization Children’s Garden at Gardens By The Bay.

Covering 54 hectares of land along Marina Bay, the park is home to 4 play zones that are filled with swings, bridges, climbing nets, and interactive water jets.

What do I need to know before visiting the Children’s Garden?

The play zone is located outdoors, so make sure you douse yourself in sunscreen and bring along hats for the little ones. Besides that, feel free to bring buckets, pails, and water guns for the kids to run around with.

You’d also want to bring a change of clothes for the crew – and wash up at the washing area and toilets nearby. However, there are no water coolers here, so don’t forget a water bottle.

If you need to take a break, there are plenty of seats around the play area, as well as a sheltered amphitheatre. And while it’s a good idea to bring snacks for the kiddos, know that Satay by the Bay is a 4-minute walk away. You can simply head there to refuel after the children’s play session.

4 play zones for different age groups

Far East Organization Children’s Garden boasts 3 zones, dozens of attractions, and hours of pure fun for the fam.

At the Toddlers Play zone, younger tots between the ages of 1 and 5 can burn off their energy while balancing on the sway bridge and manoeuvring the stepping springs. There’s also the Fish Fountain with water tunnels and fish sculptures for the mini explorers to check out.

Over at the Rainforest Tree Houses, the young ones will get to flex their muscles on the monkey swing, cross the wobbly suspension bridge, and conquer their fear of heights by scaling the tree house.

To cool off, head over to the Water Play area where jets are motion-activated and shoot water up at various speeds as the kids zoom across.

If you feel like taking a break, the vast open space at the Amphitheatre is the perfect spot for it. The shaded chill area can accommodate up to 300 people and your kiddos might even make a few new friends while you’re there.

How do you get to the Children’s Garden?

The Children’s Garden is located inside the iconic Gardens By The Bay so families can easily get there via trains, buses, or cars. The nearest MRT station would be Gardens by the Bay station via the Thomson East Coast Line, which is a 10-minute walk from the Children’s Garden. Alternatively, you can also take the train to Bayfront MRT station, a 19-minute walk away.

Admission to the Far East Organization Children’s Garden is free for all, making it a great place to take the kids to on the weekends. While it’s open from 9am-7pm from Thursdays to Sundays, last admission is at 6pm and the Water Play area closes at 6.30pm.

Also, do note that only adults accompanying a child aged 12 and below can enter.

Plan a day out at the Children’s Garden

Honestly, where else would you find a water park, several tree houses, and a toddler-safe play space all within the same complex that’s also free to enter? The Children’s Garden has everything to keep the kids entertained. After that, head over to Marina Bay Sands for some aircon or have a picnic at Marina Barrage.
