Lately, our dining scene has been nothing short of creative. From “underwater” high tea to tipi tent dining, stuffing our faces into every new foodie experience is pretty much impossible.
Nevertheless, those looking for an unconventional dining experience this Christmas season can look forward to the return of Capitol Singapore’s Dome Dining experience, running till 26th December 2021.
If you’ve heard of last year’s edition, you’ll probably know that tickets were completely wiped out in no time at all. This year, an almost identical experience is back with 11 whimsical domes to book – and tickets are still available!

Each dome comes with a beautifully adorned interior within a transparent igloo-like frame. Those looking for a casual space that can host a semi-private five-pax hangout can opt for tents with sofas. Meanwhile, couples looking for a romantic date night can opt for the ones with a fine dining-eque interior complete with plush seats and floral embellishments.

You can pick your preferred dome and dining hours online. However it seems details about each dome are still limited at the moment. If you’re particular about which dome you’ll get, we recommend contacting Capitol for more information before making your reservation.

Order a takeaway meal from one of the many nearby restaurants at Capitol Singapore or CHIJMES to enjoy within the dome. Top picks of the area include Broadway American Diner – previously known as Capitol Milk Bar – for American diner nosh, Hopscotch for alcoholic beverages and Café Ponggol for affordable nasi lemak.
Food and beverages from other establishments will not be allowed.
While these domes were previously F.O.C, two-hour bookings are priced from $30/dome this year for up to five people. Although it’s a bummer that we’d have to fork out a little extra, the good news is that it’ll be much easier to secure a slot as well.
