SG’s First “Underwater” High Tea In Sentosa: Dine Among Manta Rays Like A Tai Tai Mermaid

Ocean Restaurant’s new high tea menu

Move aside brunch – high tea is officially the hippest meal of the day. Hey, it’s hard to say no to sweets and savouries on picture-perfect platters. If you’re looking for the next haunt to play tai tai, you’re sure to have a whale of a time at Equarius Hotel’s Ocean Restaurant, which is now home to Singapore’s first underwater high tea experience until 2nd January 2022.

Enjoy high tea and unlimited liquor with marine animals

We’re no strangers to next-level high teas in Singapore. Just this year, we’ve seen creative twists with high tea on a boat to Kusu Island and atas 1-for-1 high tea by Marina Bay.

Your next date or birthday dinner with the fam will be far from ordinary with Ocean Restaurant’s new high tea menu – dubbed High Tea in the Deep Sea – where you can dine in an underwater paradise.

For all those wondering, the massive tank in this restaurant is shore-ly real and not just wallpaper or light projection. Ocean Restaurant lies on the other end of S.E.A. Aquarium’s Open Ocean habitat, so you’ll be dining next to manta rays, sharks and over 100,000 other marine animals.

Diners get to enjoy a selection of five savoury treats and six sweets to fill that tummy up. This includes sustainably-farmed bites like Hiramasa Kingfish Tartare with Coconut Foam Kueh Pie Tee and Canadian Lobster with Seaweed and Citrus Zest Pie.

Those with a sweet tooth will love the second half of the meal, which comprises desserts like Bordelaise Canelé with Rum and Vanilla and Paris-Brest with Hazelnut Praline Cream – both of which we’re sure taste just as good as they sound.

This luxurious spread comes paired with sustainable Lavazza Tierra coffees and TWG tea. Should champagne, red wine, white wine and beer be more your “cup of tea”, top up $48 for two hours of unlimited bevvies.

Good food always = good mood, so save a date to try out Ocean Restaurant’s new high tea menu for something to tickle the taste buds. Prices begin from $58++/pax for just the high tea session, or $100 nett/pax if you bundle it with tickets to S.E.A. Aquarium that’s inclusive of a behind-the-scenes tour.

The latter is eligible for SingapoRediscovers Voucher redemption if you book via Klook.

There are still plenty of slots available on their website for now, but if this is anything like S.E.A Aquarium’s bubble pod dining, we’re guessing the real challenge will soon be in snagging a reservation instead. Be sure to chope your seats ASAP to avoid disappointment!
